Abstract
I ил. (в (Л со Ci с:) 1 2The invention relates to a sealing technique and can be used to seal shafts with a liquid medium. The aim of the invention is to increase the durability and extend the range of application of the seal due to the automatic feeding of the magnetic fluid. The cavity A, which is filled with a liquid under pressure, condenses when the magnetic fluid O is held in the gaps by the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet 4 with the pole tips 2 and 3. When the seal is in contact with water, a partial leaching of the magnetic fluid is observed, which react sensors 7 and 8. When the magnetic fluid 10 is in sufficient volume, the sensors 7 and 8 are covered with it. When it decreases, the sensors give a signal of insulation failure, since magnetic fluid. bone is a good insulator. The signal arrives at the device for feeding the magnetic fluid, and the latter enters the cavity between the pole-: tips 2 and 3 through the tube 9. I il. (in (L with Ci with :) 1 2
Description
The invention relates to a sealing technique and can be used in all sectors of the national economy for sealing rotating rollers with a liquid medium.
The aim of the invention is to increase the durability and expansion of the range of application of seals due to the automatic feeding of magnetic fluid.
The drawing schematically shows the proposed seal, a general view.
10.The shaft 1, ferromagnetic or of other material, is sealed by pole pieces 2 and 3 in the form of fixed ring magnetic conductors that are located on the inner ring surface of the permanent magnet 4. The magnet 4. can be made in the form of segments. The ends of magnet 4 are flanked on both sides by washers 5 and 6 of non-magnetic electrically insulating material, in which sensors 7 and 8 are mounted, which are conductive rings with leads. Pole tips 2 and 3 are made so that between them is formed a cavity into which the tube 9 of the device for feeding the magnetic fluid 10 is inserted.
Seal works as follows.
The cavity A is filled with water under pressure, and the cavity B is in communication, for example, with the atmosphere. Magnetic fluid 10 isolates cavity A from cavity B, creating a seal. When the magnetic fluid seal is in contact with water, partial washing out of the magnetic fluid 10 is observed after a certain time and, if the entrainment is not replenished, the seal may be broken over time. In order to avoid such cases, the sensors 7 and 8 act on the seal make-up device and through the tube 9 fill the necessary portion of the magnetic fluid 10. When is the last Compounder A

The sensors 7 and 8 are sufficiently covered with it. Magnetic fluid is a good insulator (liquid phase - oils, kerosene). Thus, the sensors signal a good isolation. If the volume of the liquid 10 is reduced, the sensor is in the water and generates an isolation fault signal, and the make-up device removes this position.
10.The inner and outer end surfaces of the pole pieces 2 and 3 are arranged in the form of a truncated cone at an angle to the inner surface of the magnet 4 dp to maximize the use of magnetic flux energy in order to improve compaction, and the cavity formed between them serves as a reservoir for a small amount of make-up magnetic fluid 10.
The maximum use of the energy of the magnetic flux is achieved due to the absence of its shunting and full passage through the sealing zone and due to the minimum magnetic resistance of the circuit.
