Устройство содержит корпус 1, пружины 2, ступеньку 3, покрытую сверху резиновым ковриком 4, контактньм датчик 5, подпружиненную раму 6, выполненную по форме ступеньки 3, сухари 7, плоскую пружину 8, пластину 9, сердечник 10 и обмотку 11 электромагнитного датчика, замыкающий контакт 12 и размыкающие контакты 13 и 14 контактного датчика 5, неинвертирующий усилитель 15, инвертирующий усилитель 16, триггер 17, счетчик 18, вьшолненньй из счетных схем 19-21 соответственно дл  подсчета вход щих пассажиров, выход щих пассажиров и числа пассажиров в салоне. При наступлении ноги пассажира на ступеньку срабатывает датчик 5, при этом его контакты 12 замыкаютс , подключа  к обмотке 11 усилители 15 и 16, контакты 13 и 14, размыка сь, отключают счетчики от триггера.
