Abstract
A ceiling mounted ventilator for an air conditioning system has an outer ring shaped duct (2) with fixed vanes (5) to spread the air flow laterally over the room. A central duct (4), e.g. for warm air, is fitted with control flaps (10) tilting about axes transverse to the flow direction. The flaps can be set to operate automatically via temperature control elements. Warm air is ducted directly downwards, for maximum comfort, while cool air is spread over the top of the room without detected draughts.
