Abstract

A vacuum ejector (1) has a nozzle (4) which can be connected to a compressed air supply (3) in order to direct a jet of compressed air against a plate (5) positioned close to the nozzle head at right angles to the nozzle central axis, so that the stream of compressed air is deflected to expand outwards in a radial direction. Numerous openings (12) are provided in the plate at a pre-selected radial distance from the midpoint of the location where the jet of air impinges against it. Separate channels (14) leading off from these openings can be connected to individual suction devices, preferably suction heads (2).
