Abstract

The system incorporates first and second compressed air tanks (10,11) and the compressor with an inlet channel unit (7) and an outlet channel unit (8). The system is provided with a valve unit (19) controlled by a manoeuvrable component (22) for producing one or the other of two positions of the valve unit, the first of which the inlet channel communicates with the first compressed air tank. In a second position the inlet channel unit communicates with the first compressed air tank and the outlet channel unit communicates with the second compressed air tank. - The first compressed air tank is connectable to a first device (12) which supplies compressed air at a first pressure level and the second compressed air tank is connectable to a second device which supplies compressed air at another pressure level, the second pressure level being higher than the first pressure level.
