Abstract

Roof load carrier device for vehicles, with a load frame (2) which is fitted across a vehicle roof and with anchoring devices (6) fastened in the sides of the vehicle roof for attaching base plates (8) which are situated at the ends of the load frame and have in their lower portion openings (12) for engaging with the anchoring devices (6). The openings (12) run from their lower edge (14) into the plates and terminate in end portions (16) situated in the vicinity of embossings (20) in the base plates, which prevent unintentional displacement of the base plates relative to the screws owing to protrusions on the latter being in position-fixing shape-dictated engagement with the embossings (20). <IMAGE>
