Abstract

The compressed air is fed via a ring-shaped channel (6) and a conduit (7) connected to a pressure source. Of the two main components involved the movable component (1) has a shaft (8). This is inserted in a bore (9) in the second component (2) which acts as a support. The movable component is loaded against the support by two rings (10,11). One is a magnetised ring and the other a ring of ferro-magnetic material. The shaft is fitted with a radial clearance in the bore so that during normal operation it does not come into contact with the wall of the bore. The movable component shaft is connected to the output shaft (13) of a drive motor (12) via a torque -transmitting connection (14) which permits eccentricity between the two shafts.
