Abstract

The subject-matter of the invention is a releasable frictional connection between a gearbox input shaft designed as a hollow shaft and supported within a housing in spaced bearings and a drive shaft which can be inserted into the abovementioned shaft. To achieve a connection which can be cancelled easily in the event of overloading, an annular chamber (9) having a small radial width and filled with high-pressure fluid is formed in the gearbox input shaft (2). The wall of the gearbox input shaft expands and establishes the frictional connection between the shafts. In order to avoid damage in the bearings (3, 4), the annular chamber (9) extends axially only into the vicinity of the bearings (3, 4) and an arrangement (10), accessible from outside, for setting the pressure in the annular chamber (9) is connected to the annular chamber (9) via a duct (15). <IMAGE>
