Abstract

Using a device for continuously printing on surface-refined sheets and strips by the transfer printing method by means of printed transfer papers using the drying heat of the sheets and strips coming from the refining lane, said device consisting of two contact pressure rollers, paper winding and unwinding devices, and it being possible to pass the refined sheets and strips between the contact pressure rollers in each case together with the transfer paper, in order to achieve an extension of the contact route between the transfer paper (13) and the strip (10) to be printed and thus to guarantee an optimum print transfer even at relatively high throughput speeds, at least one axially parallel support roller (4) is arranged at the side of the contact pressure rollers (2, 3) at the running height of the strip. <IMAGE>
