Abstract

The load support unit comprises at least two bearers which are connected to each other in a cross formation in connection with a first end part which fits to one side part of the vehicle roof. An opposite second end part attaches to the other side part of the roof. The bearers are pref. rotatably joined to a central union point which has formations for locking them. - The upper bearer is longer than the lower in order to allow a coinciding extending position to be adopted. A number of such load supports can be reciprocally joined to achieve a large load bearing area in a longitudinal direction.
