Abstract

At least one permanently installed annular conveyor installation (7) such as a bucket wheel is provided in the ship's hold (3) adjacent the engine room (2). The axis of rotation of the installation (7) or wheel extends parallel to the ship's longitudinal axis. A cargo belt (6) extends in the ship's hull (4) in the region of the hold (3).
