Abstract

1486856 Flexible hose AEROQUIP AG 13 Feb 1975 [14 Feb 1974] 6202/75 Heading F2P A flexible hose comprises at least one layer of an elastomeric material comprising from 30 to 70% by weight of cross-linked chlorinated polyethylene containing 25 to less than 45% of chlorine by weight. In the embodiment described the hose 38 comprises an elastomeric inner tube 40, a braided filament sheath 42 surrounding the inner tube 40, an intermediate elastomeric tube 44 which is in turn surrounded by a further braided filament sheath 46, an outer tube 48 surrounding the sheath 46 and a braided reinforcement cover 50. The braided sheaths 42, 46 and 50 may be formed of metallic and non- metallic materials, polyester being particularly suitable.
