Abstract

FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: plug connector has shroud built up of inner part 16 inserted into cavity 29 of prismatic outer part 15 open on rear side. Inner part 16 has many pipings placed close to each other and parallel to each other and to flat side 27 of outer part; one of insulated conductor leads is inserted in one of pipes. Outer part 15 has many transverse slots at front starting from flat side and terminating in one of pipings of inner part 16 when two parts are joined together. Transverse slots 48 carry contact plates 49 fixed in pipes by means of manual clamping device. In this way, they pass through insulation of wire leads and come in contact with their copper cores. At the same time, contact plates form connector contacts on flat side 27. EFFECT: reduced cost, facilitated entry of wire leads. 1 dwg

The plug connector for connecting to multiple ends of insulated wires has a housing consisting of two parts, including an inner part that is inserted like a drawer into the cavity of the prismatic outer part, open at the rear. The inner part is provided with many pipelines located close to each other, parallel to each other and the flat side of the outer part, one of the ends of the insulated wires must be inserted into each pipeline. The outer part has many transverse grooves in the front zone, starting from the flat side and ending in one of the pipelines of the inner part, when the two parts are connected together. The transverse grooves carry contact plates, which are fixed in the piping using a manual crimping device. Thus, they penetrate the insulation of the ends of the wires and come into contact with their copper conductors. At the same time, the contact plates form contact connectors on the flat side. The advantage of such a separation of the housing is that the outer part, which is a more expensive part, is used regardless of the diameter of the wires in a particular case. Only various internal parts that differ from each other solely in the width of the channels or pipelines should be supplied. The insertion of the ends is also simplified, since this occurs when the inner part is not yet inserted in the outer part and therefore does not close the outlet openings of the pipelines. Preferably used as a data plug.
