Abstract

FIELD: grinding and dispersion of fine-grained materials by means of hydraulic impacts and cavitation; mining industry, construction industry and power engineering. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic rotary mill has housing which is split vertically with inlet and outlet branch pipes, stator and rotor made in form of immovable and movable disks, impeller, drive shaft, gland with water supply device, coupling and electric motor. Disks are made of wear-resistant dielectric material (rubber, polyurethane). Disks are provided with alternating recesses and projections which form blades when they are registered, thus making extension of impeller. Immovable disk is secured on inner wall of housing and movable disk is secured on impeller. Starting grained material is fed together with water in form of pulp to inlet branch pipe. Revolving impeller 6 with movable disk secured on it delivers starting pulp to chambers between movable and immovable disks. Projections and recesses of movable disk move breaking flow of pulp and creating cavitation zone. Particles of solid material contained in flow are subjected to destructive effect while passing this zone and are ground to required size. Ground material escapes outside through outlet branch pipe.
