Description
The utility model relates to medicine, specifically to urology, surgery, oncology and can be used for external drainage of the lower urinary tract with a self-retaining urinary catheter.
A known method of treating patients using a permanent urinary catheter for drainage of the lower urinary tract in violation of the passage of urine arising due to organic or functional disorders of the urinary system. [Operative urology. Classics and innovations: a guide for doctors // L. G. G. Managadze, N. A. Lopatkin, O. B. Laurent, D. Yu. Punshkar et al. - M .: Medicine, 2003. - 740 p.]. In clinical practice, for the drainage of the bladder through the suprapubic fistula, a Pezzer catheter is used with a plate-shaped working part with two or three holes, which protects it from falling out of the bladder cavity. [Guide to Clinical Urology / Per. from English under the editorship of F. Hanno, S.B.Malkovich, A.J. Uefna - M .: Medical Information Agency, 2004. - 328 p.]. The main material for the manufacture of a catheter is rubber. The disadvantages of the Pezzer's catheter are not large openings of its openings, the absence of divisions that do not allow to determine the depth of its introduction, the possibility of tearing off the cap from the catheter’s trunk at the time of its removal, and infection of the urinary tract, which leads to constant monitoring of urine purity.
- 1999 C.93.]A known method of disinfecting water using the bactericidal properties of silver and its effects on microorganisms. Silver ions bind to the nitrogenous bases of deoxyribonucleic acid, as a result of which the stability of the DNA molecule and, as a consequence, the viability of bacteria are violated [Konychev A.V., Koreshkina T.A., Kokorin K.V. The use of silver ionic solution in the treatment of purulent diseases // Materials of the joint II Republican and Army Conference dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Department of Ambulatory Surgery of the Military Medical Academy "Actual problems of ambulatory surgery." - SPb, VMA. - 1999 C.93.]
Antimicrobial activity depends on the physicochemical environmental conditions: concentration of silver ions, contact time, temperature, pH environment. Urine, as a biological fluid, has its own characteristics of temperature (36-37 ° C) and pH (about 7.0). With increasing temperature and pH, the activity of exposure to silver ions increases, so with a dose of silver ions of 0.2 mg / l, a contact time of at least 30 minutes, most bacteria such as E. coli are inactivated. The combination of the bactericidal properties of silver with its effect on the body as a trace element allows it to be used as a prophylactic or therapeutic agent.
The objective of the utility model is the creation of an aseptic self-retaining catheter for urinary drainage.
The essence of the utility model is illustrated by figures 1, 2 and 3, where 1 is a rubber tube, 2 is the working part, 3 is the hole, 4 is a silver rivet.
Aseptic self-retaining urinary catheter model.
An aseptic self-retaining catheter is a urinary drainage that performs, in addition to its main function, emptying the bladder, and the therapeutic effect is the removal of uroinfection due to the bactericidal properties of silver.
The catheter is made in the form of a rubber tube 30-40 cm long, corresponding to Charrier No. 16-22, with a plate-shaped working part with three holes equally spaced to divert urine from the bladder, and a silver rivet in the central parts fixed on both sides of the working area from the inner and outer surfaces.
A catheter in the bladder is placed using a metal probe. The probe is inserted into the lumen of the catheter or into one of the openings in the cap, pulled and freely inserted into the bladder.
The catheter is changed 1 time per month, in the presence of an epicystostomy, the patient needs to wash the bladder at least 1 time per day.
