Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing moisture-resistant furniture or building parts, in which the internal base is insulated at the ends or recesses using a polymer material.
Processing HPL compact laminates HPL according to EN 438, June, 2017. International Committee of the Decorative Laminates Industry. A method of manufacturing self-supporting decorative boards based on thermosetting resins (hereinafter referred to as HPL compact boards) is known from the prior art. They consist of layers of decorative paper impregnated with melamine resins and layers of kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resin, which are pressed together under high pressure and temperature (see Processing HPL compact laminates HPL according to EN 438, June, 2017. International Committee of the Decorative Laminates Industry (https://www.icdli.com/tech-centre/fachwissen/processing-hpl-compact-laminates.html), also: EGGER Data Sheet Compact board with black core Recipe: 960 /965, Egger (https://www.egger.com/get_download/a845002e-664f-4834-9b0f-7ccf33ce09a3/Technical_datasheet_Compact_Laminates_Black_Core_Russia.pdf), also: Recommendations for processing Egger compact boards (https://www.egger .com/get_download/ec21e908-05dc-4b74-bceb-a6a82c2cbcb5/Processing_instruction_Compact_Laminates_Russian.pdf).
These boards are characterized by excellent moisture resistance and impact resistance. They can be used as work surfaces in kitchens and bathrooms, integrating sinks, hobs, etc. But at the same time they have a number of disadvantages:
● высокая стоимость, обусловленная высокой материалоемкостью;● high cost due to high material consumption;
● большой вес деталей; ● heavy weight of parts;
● ограниченный выбор цвета крафт-слоя, обычно черный или коричневый;● limited choice of kraft ply color, usually black or brown;
● изготавливаются плиты, а не детали, поэтому при дальнейшей обработке часть основы из крафт бумаги и смол уйдет в отход.● slabs are made, not parts, so during further processing, part of the base made of craft paper and resins will go to waste.
141).There is a known method for producing structural, decorative, structural and decorative boards by lining a base board (for example, chipboard, fiberboard, plywood and other board materials) with covering layers, for example, laminates. (See for example: “Design of furniture” by A. A. Bartashevich, S. P. Trofimov, Year of publication: 2006, Publisher: “Modern School” Minsk, ISBN: 985-6751-31-4, p. 141).
The ends of parts made from such plates, after giving them the required geometric shape, are lined with edges, most often made of synthetic materials (PVC, ABS, laminated paper tape, etc.) by gluing. The disadvantages of this method are:
● слабая влагостойкость (выше при использовании полиуретанового клея, требующего специального дорогостоящего оборудования);● poor moisture resistance (higher when using polyurethane glue, which requires special expensive equipment);
● невозможность кромкооблицовки внутренних углов с малым радиусом;● impossibility of edgebanding internal corners with a small radius;
● невозможность придания торцу формы отличной от прямолинейной;● impossibility of giving the end a shape other than straight;
● наличие клеевого шва между кромочным материалом и деталью;● the presence of an adhesive seam between the edge material and the part;
● наличие стыка кромочного материала;● presence of a joint of edge material;
● невозможность использования в качестве рабочих поверхностей, при необходимости, к примеру, подклеивания мойки снизу столешницы.● impossibility of use as work surfaces, if necessary, for example, gluing a sink from the bottom of the countertop.
WO 79/00904 A1 (NIELSEN M, et. al.), 15.11.1979). There is a known method for sealing the ends (ends here mean any areas of the slab between the covering layers) of board materials using curable resins (see WO 79/00904 A1 (NIELSEN M, et. al.), 11/15/1979). The author of the patent proposes to seal the ends of slab parts with a non-moisture-resistant base and moisture-resistant cover layers by pouring the part after installing it in a frame that serves as a mold for casting.
The disadvantages of this method are:
• The need to manufacture each size and shape of parts with its own unique frame for pouring.
• Необходимость использовать стандартные для подобного способы литья процедуры для возможности извлечения готовой детали из формы (нанесение антиадгезионного состава)• The need to use standard procedures for similar casting methods to be able to remove the finished part from the mold (application of an anti-adhesive compound)
• Необходимо тщательно изолировать покровные слои детали от попадания на них заливочного состава, что особенно важно при использовании смол с повышенной текучестью (например, полиуретановых)• It is necessary to carefully isolate the covering layers of the part from contact with the filling composition, which is especially important when using resins with high fluidity (for example, polyurethane)
These disadvantages complicate the creation of mass production of such parts in a wide range of shapes and sizes.
The closest analogue is a method for manufacturing moisture-resistant furniture or building parts (patent RU2794049C1, IPC A47B 96/00; B27N 7/00; B29C 70/76; B32B 21/08; E04C 2/10, op. 04/11/2023). In this method, the first cover moisture-resistant layer is glued to the base blank, using mechanical cutting, non-through grooves are made along the contour of the part, selecting the base plate and the adhesive layer, leaving the cover layer, while the grooves are made offset beyond the boundaries of the part required to be produced; the resulting grooves are filled with a hardening moisture-resistant polymer material, after polymerization, the open side of the base with the hardened moisture-resistant polymer material is leveled, through mechanical processing, to a flat surface and the thickness of the required finished slab minus the thickness of the second covering layer with the adhesive layer; After leveling the open side of the base, the upper second covering moisture-resistant layer is glued onto it, then the finished part is cut out of the workpiece, leaving areas of the cured polymer inside the part between the lower and upper covering layers.
The known method solves the disadvantages indicated for the patent WO 79/00904 A1, but also has its own disadvantages:
• Прорезание до покровного слоя (обычно это пластик толщиной от 0,2 до 0,8 мм) требуют наличия высокоточного оборудования, которое позволяет не повредить данный покровный слой.• Cutting through to the cover layer (usually 0.2 to 0.8 mm thick plastic) requires high-precision equipment to ensure that the cover layer is not damaged.
Так как при подобной обработке на поверхности тонкой мягкой пленки останутся видимые повреждения.• Even with high-precision equipment, it is difficult to use as cover layers in this method instead of paper-laminated plastics, for example, decorative PVC films, which are widespread in the furniture industry. Since such treatment will leave visible damage on the surface of a thin soft film.
Using enamels, for example, as covering layers is impossible with this method.
• After gluing the first covering layer, in the absence of a second as a compensating layer, warping of the board blank may occur (for example, when using fiberboards as a base), which will also make it difficult to make a groove that reaches exactly to the covering layer.
• Поскольку паз выбирается уже после приклеивания первого покровного слоя, при его повреждении в результате обработки в брак уходит и плита основы.• Since the groove is selected after gluing the first cover layer, if it is damaged as a result of processing, the base plate is also scrapped.
• With this method, it is difficult to use materials that exhibit volumetric shrinkage during curing of more than 1% (for example, polyester resins) to fill the ends, since this deforms the covering layer.
These disadvantages limit the possibility of using a wide range of materials as covering layers of slabs, and also place increased demands on the equipment used in production.
The problem solved by the present invention is a method for creating moisture-proof slab parts of a wide range of thicknesses and various geometric shapes, for use in the modern furniture industry and building finishing, with the possibility of decorative finishing of the cover layers of the part, having different end colors, with the possibility of giving the end shapes , other than straight lines, there should be no joints of edge materials covering the ends of the slab, and the base of the slab does not have to be moisture resistant.
The technical result is the absence of the above-mentioned disadvantages of the closest analogue.
This problem is solved by a method of manufacturing a moisture-resistant furniture or building part in the form of a slab, consisting of a load-bearing base and moisture-resistant cover layers connected to the base with sealing of the ends with a moisture-resistant material, containing the following steps: in the base blank, in a thickness greater than the final thickness of the resulting slab (the specific value is selected based on the impregnation of the base material with a specific polymer - filler), using mechanical cutting, non-through grooves are made along the contour of the part, selecting a base plate, leaving a layer of base material sufficient so that the polymer does not impregnate it beyond this layer, while the grooves are made with an offset beyond the boundaries of the part required to be received; the resulting grooves are filled with a curing, moisture-resistant polymer material with or without pigments and/or other fillers suitable for the type of polymer chosen; after polymerization, remove the layer of base material and cured polymer from both sides using mechanical processing, until there is a smooth surface of the polymer material on both sides of the slab and the thickness of the required finished slab minus the thickness of the covering layers; After leveling, moisture-resistant coating layers are glued or applied to both sides of the base, then the finished part or parts are cut out of the blank (when using one blank to produce several parts), leaving areas of the cured polymer inside the part between the lower and upper coating layers.
Depending on the purpose of the part, its ends can be given a given shape by any known type of mechanical processing, as well as the necessary grooves, slots, and holes can be made in the layer of hardened moisture-resistant polymer material.
The curing polymer material can be a polymer based on synthetic resins or a thermoplastic material.
Before filling the grooves with a curing moisture-resistant polymeric material, at least one light source can be installed in them.
The invention is illustrated by drawings.
In fig. Figure 1 shows a general view of a moisture-resistant furniture or building part with a cross section (an example of a part with glued cover layers is shown).
In fig. 2 – 8 show the stages of manufacturing a moisture-resistant furniture or building part.
The base 3 of the part is a layer of structural material suitable for the following parameters: surface quality suitable for cladding with cover layers, good adhesion to the glue used (layer 5). Sanded fiberboards and particle boards work well, but other types of boards can be used, such as plywood, gypsum board, etc. The covering layers of parts 1 and 2 are made of waterproof boards or films that have the characteristics required for the final part in terms of their decorative and strength properties (color, texture, abrasion resistance, etc.). For example, decorative laminates widely produced by modern industry, which have the required water resistance, a wide range of thicknesses, decors and good mechanical resistance to abrasion, are excellent as covering layers 1 and 2.
Sections (layers) 4 of the part (Fig. 1), which are the open ends of the external contour of the part or the open ends of the internal cutouts of the product, as well as, if necessary, other areas (for example, for installing fittings, making decorative or mounting grooves, etc.) filled with polymers obtained as a result of hardening of synthetic resins, which give low shrinkage and have the necessary moisture resistance, mechanical strength (for example, KER 215 epoxy resin in combination with the KCA 4303 hardener, polyester casting resins, etc.), which do not allow moisture to enter the internal structure of the slab, and also increasing the impact resistance of the ends. To achieve the desired color and decorative effect, pigments or decorative fillers designed for the selected type of resin can be added to the resin composition, for example, dioctyl phthalate-based pigment pastes for epoxy resins. Other fillers and additives may also be added to the resin to reduce shrinkage or achieve other beneficial effects.
HPL. This design of the part allows the use of an inexpensive structural plate, including a lightweight one, as a base 3, while achieving a high level of moisture resistance - since the base is reliably protected from water penetration by a barrier made of waterproof polymer. Using mechanical processing, the ends can be given the required shape, other than straight. The use of expensive compounds is minimal relative to the entire volume of the slab, thereby achieving a reduction in the cost of the finished product relative to HPL compact slabs of comparable thickness.
If there is no need to obtain an end that can withstand elevated temperatures (above 55 degrees Celsius), it is permissible to use thermoplastic polymers, for example, based on ethylene vinyl acetate, to fill these areas.
The design of the part described above allows, among other things, the installation of illumination of 7 ends inside the polymer layer.
The manufacturing method is as follows.
In the base blank 3 with the help of mechanical processing (an excellent result is obtained, for example, by processing on a CNC milling machine with a solid vacuum table with an end mill of a suitable diameter), a blind groove 6 is made (Fig. 3), selecting a part of the base 3. Groove 6 runs along the contour ends that need to be filled with protective polymer, offset beyond the boundaries of the part or parts required to be obtained, to the required width (depending on the accuracy of the equipment used). The width of the required groove 6 and the required width of the material (base 3 and cover layer 2) to form the groove 6 must be taken into account when designing the initial blank of the part or parts (when using one blank to produce several parts).
5. The resulting grooves 6 are filled, for example, using manual or automatic dispensers, with a selected synthetic resin (for example, epoxy resin under the trademark KER 215 with hardener KSA-4303; two-component polyurethane systems "Caspol", produced by LLC "KASPOL-POLYURETHANE SYSTEMS", etc.) (Fig. 3), mixed, if necessary, with a hardener, pigments or other fillers suitable for the type of resin selected. After polymerization, a layer of base material and cured polymer is removed from the resulting workpiece on both sides using mechanical processing (Fig. 4) (for example, using a cantilever milling machine or a calibrating grinding machine, or another available method). It is important that from the side where the groove 6 was not completely cut, a layer of material must be removed, sufficient to open the layer of polymer 4 on this side. From the side from which the groove was opened, it is important to align the plane of the base at the same level with the polymer. The total thickness of the resulting slab blank after this processing stage should be equal to the thickness of the required finished slab minus the thickness of the cover layers 1 and 2 used with a layer of adhesive 5.
After leveling both planes of the resulting slab in the press, cover layers 1 and 2 are glued onto it (Fig. 5), for example, decorative laminated paper. It is preferable to use waterproof polyurethane adhesive (eg PURTIS® SP series). If a flat plate press is not available, manual or machine gluing with contact adhesive using waterproof adhesive is possible.
Also in this method it is possible to use waterproof paints to finish the surface of the slabs as waterproof covering layers, without the use of glue.
Using mechanical processing (circular saws, milling machine, etc.), a finished part is obtained from the workpiece, leaving sections 4 of the cured polymer inside the part between the lower 2 and upper 1 coating layers (Fig. 6). Using mechanical processing, the ends can be given the required shape (chamfers, roundings, any complex shapes) down to the depth of a given section in the slab (Fig. 8). Additional selections, slits, and holes are also possible in areas where the polymer layer is located, without compromising the moisture resistance of the entire part.
п.If it is necessary to install a light source in a part, a light source 7 (Fig. 7), suitable for its characteristics of heat release, brightness, etc., is attached to the inner wall of the groove before filling with polymer.
