Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a chemical technology for the enrichment of carbonate manganese ore with the use and neutralization of weakly acidic wastewater from industrial enterprises. The resulting manganese concentrate can be used in metallurgy, in the chemical industry.
A known method of processing manganese ores by leaching with concentrated hydrochloric acid (AS No. 1832736, IPC C22V 47/00, 1996). The disadvantage of this method is the presence of chlorine ion in the concentrate, which, when using ore in metallurgy, in gas emissions gives the presence of chlorine, which adversely affects the environment. In addition, manganese concentrate contains a high iron content.
A known method of processing carbonate manganese ore, in which carbonate manganese ore produce manganese dioxide and a by-product - calcium chloride. According to this method, carbonate manganese ore is subjected to leaching with off-gas hydrochloric acid with a concentration of 5.0-18.0% at a controlled pH value at a temperature of 15.0-45.0 °C. At the same time, alkaline and alkaline earth elements and metals of transition groups are leached from the ore, standing in the series of tension up to manganese (RU 2222624, IPC S22V 47/00, publ. 27.01.2004).
The disadvantage of this method is the presence in the resulting concentrate of chlorine ion, which in gas emissions when used in metallurgy gives the presence of chlorine.
A known method of processing carbonate manganese ores by two-stage treatment with hydrochloric acid (RU 2448175, IPC S22V 47/00 publ. 20.04.2012) as a result of which calcium carbonate is destroyed, then a manganese-containing residue is separated from the resulting pulp, which is treated at the second stage with off-gas inhibited hydrochloric acid with a concentration of 20.0-24.0%, containing at least 5.0 wt.% of an inhibitor, when interacting with iron insoluble complex compounds are formed, the separation of the insoluble precipitate of aluminosilicates is carried out to obtain a solution of a manganese salt, which is subjected to processing.
The disadvantage of this method is the associated production of chlorine, which must be disposed of, which greatly complicates the process.
The objective of the invention is to reduce the cost of the processing of manganese ore and improve environmental friendliness by neutralizing industrial wastewater.
The technical result is to ensure the high quality of the end products.
6,5-7,14. The problem is solved, and the technical result is achieved by a method for processing carbonate manganese ore using weakly acidic effluents from industrial enterprises, in which wastewater containing acetic, terephthalic, p-toluic and benzoic acids is supplied to the ore at a temperature of at least 10.0 ° C at a speed , providing a contact time with the ore of 30 - 50 minutes to extract calcium carbonate from it and neutralize acids with an increase in the pH of the wastewater to a value of 6.5-7.14, moreover, for a more complete extraction of calcium carbonate and an increase in the concentration of manganese dioxide to a value of 43- 44% manganese ore is additionally treated with an aqueous solution of acetic acid with a concentration of 1.0 - 70.0% at a rate that maintains the pH of the wastewater in the range of 6.5-7.14.

As a result of the reactions, calcium carbonate is decomposed with the production of organic calcium salts and the release of carbon dioxide. For a more complete extraction of calcium carbonate, an aqueous solution of acetic acid with a concentration of 1.0-70.0% is additionally supplied to the ore, mainly a 9% aqueous solution of acetic acid is used. The residual content of calcium carbonate in the ore is 10.2-12.1%. The concentration of manganese dioxide in the solid sediment of the processed ore rises to 43-44%, that is, we obtain enriched manganese concentrate. The feed rate of the aqueous acetic acid solution is adjusted to ensure that the solution exits the reaction column at a pH of 6.5-7.14. This ensures the enrichment of carbonate manganese ore and the neutralization of slightly acidic wastewater from industrial enterprises.
