Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of pig breeding and veterinary medicine and can be used to prevent the occurrence of oxidative stress, as well as to increase the immunological resistance of the organism and the productivity of piglets after weaning.
Pig breeding is one of the most promising branches of animal husbandry. The omnivorousness, multiplicity, precocity of pigs, as well as the low cost of production, along with the high quality of the products obtained, make it possible to ensure the food independence of the country. However, in the conditions of large-scale industrial animal husbandry, pigs are regularly exposed to adverse factors, such as noise, sudden changes in temperature, transportation, competition with relatives, poor feed quality, crowded housing, veterinary manipulations, etc.
Weaning is also a source of serious stress for piglets. In response to the action of stress factors in the body of piglets, a glucocorticoid hormone of a steroid nature, cortisol, is synthesized in an increased amount, which in turn leads to reduced feed intake and a decrease in growth intensity. In addition, during the weaning period, piglets have digestive disorders and depression of the physiological state. This is due not only to unfavorable living conditions, but also to the fact that newborn piglets do not cope well with the digestion of vegetable starch and protein, since amylase and pepsin are not produced at birth, and by the sixth week their production is still far from the optimal level. Thus, a radical change in the type of feeding and living conditions of piglets leads to insufficient intake of nutrients, vitamins, macro- and microelements, which can lead to the development of diseases and mortality.
[1]In addition, piglets often develop a condition characterized by an excess of free radicals and insufficient protection of the endogenous antioxidant radical system, called oxidative stress. In excess, free radicals disrupt metabolism, destructively affect various tissues, cell structures and DNA. This, in turn, also negatively affects the general condition of piglets, growth dynamics and reduces the adaptive ability of the organism. [one]
A known method for the prevention of technological stress in piglets (Patent RU 2442579 C1, published 20.02.2012). The method includes the introduction of vitamins in the form of trivitamin at a dose of 0.9-1.1 ml per head intramuscularly and ascorbic acid at the rate of 45-55 mg per head inside with food. Additionally, as an immunostimulating agent, the phytopreparation Erakond is administered in the form of a 10% solution at a dose of 25-50 mg/kg intramuscularly. The drugs are used according to the scheme: 5-7 days before the action of the stress factor (weaning or other technological operation) on the 2-3rd day and 11-13 days after the action of the stress factor. EFFECT: method provides reduction of the influence of the stress factor on the body of piglets due to the achievement of a higher level of adaptive mechanisms in the body.
However, this method does not compensate for the alimentary deficiency of selenium, which can lead to the development of a serious illness in young animals, white muscle disease, accompanied by profound metabolic disorders in the body, functional and morphological changes in the nervous system, muscle tissue, liver and other organs. In addition, this method does not fully compensate for vitamin and protein deficiency. Also a significant drawback is the high cost of the drug "Erakond", which makes it difficult to use it on an industrial scale.
There is a known method for the prevention of oxidative stress in piglets after weaning (Patent RU 2489897 C1, published on 20.08.2013), which involves feeding hotynetsk natural zeolites to piglets at a dose of 3% of the dry matter weight of the diet, characterized in that hotynetsk natural zeolites are used in combination with a probiotic " Intestevit" and fumaric acid, which are fed to piglets in doses of 0.67 g and 0.75 g per head per day, respectively, daily 8-9 hours after feeding natural zeolites by the group method 1 time per day for 7 days before weaning and 14 days after.
Despite the positive effect on the general condition of the body of these products, they do not provide the body with nutrients and vitamins, the lack of which is directly related to reduced feed intake caused by stress.
The objective of the invention is to develop the most effective method for the prevention and correction of post-weaning stress in piglets.
The technical result of the claimed invention is the replenishment of alimentary protein and vitamin deficiency, as well as the deficiency of macro- and microelements, the prevention of oxidative stress, as well as the prevention of the development of white muscle disease and anemia in piglets, the increase in immunological resistance and productivity after weaning.

Piglets from 5 days of age are given intramuscular administration of Sedimin at a dose of 2 ml per head on days 5 and 15 of life, and then at a dose of 3 ml per head on days 35 and 45 of life. Feed additive "Abiotonic" is administered to piglets from 3 days of age orally with water, milk or its substitute during the entire suckling period at a dose of 1 ml/kg of body weight per day, and then in a mixture with chilled feed up to 90 days of age in dose of 6 ml/kg feed.
As a result of the experiments, the high efficiency of the developed method was proved. For this, 2 groups of animals were formed. The first group of piglets (control) did not receive any feed additives and drugs during the entire period of the study. The second group (experimental) from the age of 5 days was administered intramuscular injection of the drug "Sedimin" at a dose of 2 ml per head on the 5th and 15th days of life, and then at a dose of 3 ml per head on the 35th and 45th days of life. Feed additive "Abiotonic" was administered to piglets from 3 days of age orally with milk during the entire suckling period at a dose of 1 ml/kg of body weight per day, and then mixed with chilled feed up to 90 days of age at a dose of 6 ml/kg of feed . Both groups were kept under the same conditions.
Анализы крови проводились за 5 дней до отъема (на 40-й день жизни поросят) и в конце исследования (на 90-й день жизни).Blood tests were performed 5 days before weaning (on the 40th day of life of piglets) and at the end of the study (on the 90th day of life).
Blood tests carried out on the 90th day of life of piglets showed significant changes in some indicators in the control group of animals. At the same time, blood counts in piglets of the experimental group remained within the normal range.
From the data presented in Table 1, it follows that the combined use of the feed additive "Abiotonic" and the preparation "Sedimin" in piglets of the experimental group contributed to the maintenance of hematological parameters within normal values. In the control group, on the 90th day of life, a decrease in erythrocytes and hemoglobin was observed, which may indicate the development of anemia, and there was also an increased content of leukocytes.
As shown in Table 2, in the biochemical analysis carried out on the 90th day of life of the piglets, no abnormalities were observed in the experimental group. Pigs in the control group showed an increase in total protein, albumin, urea, alkaline phosphatase, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, glucose and total bilirubin, as well as a decrease in the content of substances such as calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and iron.
In addition, Table 3 shows the content of malondialdehyde (MDA) in the blood of animals. In piglets of the control group on the 90th day of life, a significant increase in this indicator was observed, which may indicate the development of oxidative stress.
It was also found that the growth and development of piglets from the experimental group were more intense compared to piglets from the control group. So, on the 90th day of life, the average weight of piglets from the experimental group was 40 ± 2.6 kg, and piglets from the control group - 34 ± 1.8 kg.
Thus, the analysis of the results of the study made it possible to establish that the combined use of the feed additive "Abiotonic" and the drug "Sedimin" contributed to the replenishment of alimentary protein and vitamin deficiency, as well as deficiency of macro- and microelements, which prevents the development of white muscle disease, anemia and other diseases. In addition, this method prevents the development of oxidative stress, increases the immunological resistance of the organism and the productivity of piglets after weaning.
