A gas measuring device and a method of its operation are known (RU 2502066, G01N 27/12, G01N 25/00, G01N 25/18, G01R 31/00, publ. 12.20.2013) for measuring the presence of a given gas in a fluid where the principle of operation is based on the use of semiconductor cells with heating elements to maintain the operating temperature. The analysis occurs by recording changes in at least one of the electrical properties of the semiconductor. It also justifies the possibility of embedding additional elements and the portability of this device. When analyzing this device, the following disadvantages were identified:
1. The complexity of the system. Heating and maintaining the operating temperature of the sensing element requires relatively powerful power sources, which is difficult to ensure with prolonged use in a portable device.
2. The main disadvantage of semiconductor sensors is the rapid process of increasing errors compared to other types of sensors. This decrease in accuracy with time leads to a distortion of the results obtained and makes it impossible to track the change in the patient’s state in real time with prolonged use, since the concentration of the element in small doses may be within the error. For this reason, frequent calibration and replacement of sensors is necessary, which is not always practical and possible. Therefore, the priority of using this device is the laboratory conditions of the experiment and equipment calibration, which does not allow its effective use in conditions that directly simulate professional activity. At the same time, our proposed version of the method of sampling exhaled air provides for the use at the stage of air intake only mechanical elements and modules that depend on external electrical sources and batteries that require periodic charging, which is not always possible in extreme activities.
12.07.2017).A device for dynamic monitoring of gas media and non-invasive monitoring of the state of an object (patient), continuous evaluation of the functional state of biological systems of the body, diagnostics in determining the severity of a condition, created on the basis of selected monochromatic pairs representing a solid-state monochromatic emitter (based on a diode laser) and solid-state is known. a monochromatic receiver, possibly equipped with an additional built-in monochromatic filter. All elements are mounted in a segmented profiled rigid element, which is designed either in the form of a ring or a linear device with a conditioned aspect ratio, or an n-sided prism built into the expiratory mainline of the breathing mask behind the exhalation valve. In this case, the selection of monochromatic pairs is carried out in accordance with a pre-selected set of gases to be determined according to the task set for each specific case and can be implemented either as a single monochromatic pair, or in parallel or sequentially installed monochromatic pairs. The latter can be combined into groups of two or more elements depending on the number of detected gases, while the optical path of the beam from the emitter to the receiver ensures the overlap of the entire cross-sectional area of the air line, which is realized by orienting the emitter and receiver relative to each other and the reflective characteristics of surfaces of a segmented element. The characteristics of the flow of exhaled air (breathing mixture) are recorded by a set of pressure and humidity sensors (RF patent №2625258, АВ, 5/08, G01N 21/61, G01N 33/497, publ. 12.07.2017).
It draws attention to the impossibility of monitoring studies, which does not allow in the real conditions of the rapidly changing dynamics of the elements of professional activity to track changes in the energy exchange of specialists, especially in conditions of critical indicators of the environment, physical and neuro-emotional stress.
A classical device is known for estimating pulmonary ventilation per unit of time (ventilation power) and air sampling for estimating the composition of exhaled air (Douglas bags of 50, 100 and 150 l) and the subsequent calculation of the body's energy costs for certain simulated professional activities. Its main disadvantages are a) large dimensions (volumetric characteristics), which do not allow for research in non-standard conditions (small volumes of autonomous objects); b) significant weight, which makes adjustments to the actual energy consumption in certain types of activities; c) time constraints of research, determined by the volume of Douglas bags, which does not allow monitoring of diverse physical and thermal loads inherent in many professions in extreme and dynamic activities; d) significant errors in the generalization (taking into account the timing) of the final results of energy expenditure over long periods of activity in extreme conditions.
The proposed system for sampling exhaled air to monitor the energy expenditure of the human body involves the solution of several tasks: a) creating a system for measuring the energy expenditure of the organism in extreme conditions that does not require dependence on energy sources, b) dynamic research that allows the monitoring mode to take air samples through short periods of time with frequent changes of short-term activities in extreme conditions; c) delivery of a multitude of air samples to single centers for assessing the gas composition and determining energy expenditures that are remotely remote in stationary and mobile measurement points; d) low resistance to breathing (no more than 30 mm of water. Art.) and a decrease in the error in the assessment of pulmonary ventilation due to low-inertia volumeters and the use of two light (up to 100 g) bags of 5 liters of dense tissue - analogs of the respiratory bags of portable breathing bags previously used on the Navy (remote control-1 and remote control-2); e) reduction of volumetric characteristics and mass of the sampling system, which allows to conduct research in small autonomous objects and premises and reduce the error due to weight characteristics; taking into account all the necessary amendments and coefficients (pressure, temperature, humidity) that affect the final values of gas exchange and energy consumption; f) the ability to monitor (reusable sampling) of energy consumption without removing the proposed system from the tester and taking air samples in special chambers, which allows for a more objective reflection or simulation of real loads during certain types of professional activity under extreme conditions; g) the possibility of completing the system from the elements of existing instruments and measuring instruments; h) expanding and increasing the objectivity of the methodological base outside the laboratories of specialized research institutes in the case of full-scale or military tests that imply a hygienic assessment of the actual physical, mental and emotional stress during extreme types of activity.
The solution of the task is ensured by the fact that in the measurement system of the body's energy consumption under extreme conditions, the method of indirect calorimetry is connected to the valve box (inhaling from the atmosphere — exhalation into the system) a corrugated hose, on which two tees are installed in series: through the first hole through a separate tee rubber hose two-valve unidirectional (single-vector) air blower (analogue of "pear" and tonometer hoses - instruments for measuring artery Pressure ceiling elements) and a removable rubber chamber (with the unidirectional valve, exhaled air transmissive only inside the chamber) for air sampling for measuring the gas composition and humidity of the exhaled air, necessary for the calculation of energy expenditure. A sublingual thermometer is installed to the second tee through a separate hole to measure the temperature of exhaled air, which is also necessary when calculating energy consumption by indirect calorimetry. A volumeter is installed between the tees and the elements of the corrugated hose to evaluate the pulmonary ventilation. Due to the high amplitude fluctuations in the concentration and speed of movement of the gas mixture during the expiratory steps, the probability of a significant error in the sampling of air into the removable chambers increases. In order to reduce the error in the assessment of energy consumption due to different air velocity (negatively affects the inertia of the volumeters) and the change in the concentration of carbon dioxide and oxygen in the exhalation process before the first tee are embedded through sleeves fixed with clamps of the “clamp” type stabilizer totaling 10 liters. This provides the average readings of the gas composition and stabilizes the speed of air movement when the gas mixture passes through the volumeter and samples are taken into removable chambers.
Thus, the valve box is designed for separate intake of inhaled and exhaled air; the presence of a corrugated hose provides the ability to change the distance during motor activity; stabilizer bags balance the rate of exhaled air and stabilize the gas composition of exhaled air; The volumeter is designed to measure the volume of exhaled air. The first tee allows through a separate hole to carry out air sampling into special removable rubber chambers by means of a two-valve air blower - an analogue of the “pear” of Riva-Rocci devices and other tonometers - in order to measure the gas composition and humidity of exhaled air; The second tee allows you to measure the temperature of exhaled air through a separate hole with a sublingual thermometer.

The system works as follows. The system for classical studies in open areas is fastened with velcro strap No. 17 (like a tonometer) to the chest in 4 points: in the region of 3-4 ribs (left), under the arm to the left along the dorsal surface of the axillary cavity (below 15 cm from the shoulder joint) , 5 cm to the left and 5 cm to the right from the corner of the right scapula. These points correspond to: a) the initial (proximal) part of the corrugated hose No. 3 (after the valve box No. 1), b) the location before the breathing bags with bags-stabilizers No. 4 (capacity not more than 10 liters; two chambers of 5 liters each) that normalize the composition exhaled mixture, c) localization in front of the gauge No. 12 (with a gas meter), g) fastening after the gauge No. 12. In the case of research in autonomous objects of small volumes, the attachment points are modified to reflect the ergonomic features and specific features of the professional activity. Inhalation is carried out from the atmosphere of the environment in objects or the environment during activities in open areas through the nozzle and inhalation valve of valve box No. 1, and exhalation through the nozzle equipped with the exhalation valve to the proposed system. After passing through the corrugated hose No. 3, which provides a change in the length of the system during motor activity, air enters the stabilizer bags No. 4. The inclusion in the system of two stabilizer bags No. 4 (5 l each) from light special materials used previously in portable breathing apparatus for the Navy has two goals: a) the air mixture rate through tee No. 6 to the volumetric meter No. 12 is equalized, which allows reduce its inertia, stabilize the concentration and rate of the exhaled gas mixture and, therefore, an error in the assessment of energy costs and b) normalizes to average values of the composition of the gas mixture supplied through a special output of the same tee to the
