The invention relates to techniques for high-speed throwing in laboratory conditions and is intended for hydroballistic research, and more specifically, to study the dynamics of the movement of propelled models in a liquid under various conditions. It can be used to select materials, refine the design and shape of the elements to be thrown, observe hydrodynamic processes, evaluate stability of barriers.
Different in composition and design stands for hydrodynamic research.
The hydrodynamic bench for technological testing of torpedo tubes (underwater launching devices) [1], RF patent No. 2203469, IPC F41F 3/10, 2003, contains a water tank, measuring and recording and launching equipment.
Hydrodynamic stand [2] USSR patent No. 1210079, IPC G01M, 10.2000, in which, in order to increase the efficiency of operation, a drain tank and a pump with the necessary shut-off equipment are provided.
As a prototype, the “Experimental ballistic complex” closest in technical essence and conditions of use [3] was selected [3] patent RU No. 2591132, IPC F41F 1/00, 01.2006, containing coaxially and sequentially the trajectory of the missile models, the evacuated barrel of the ballistic installation, electromagnetic speed sensor, vacuum silencer, separation chamber for leading parts, hydrodynamic chamber.
Taken as a prototype, the design does not allow monitoring the acceleration of the missile assembly along the barrel, there is no possibility of observing the process of exit of the missile assembly from the barrel. Water entering the volume of the vacuum silencer during the experiment negatively affects the operation of the electromagnetic speed sensor and the state of the accelerator channel of the propelling system. Maintenance of the installation and preparation for the next start-up can be carried out only after draining the water, which objectively limits the volume of fluid used, as a result, the length of the hydrodynamic section. The fastening of the separation membrane directly between the hydrodynamic chamber and the separation chamber of the leading parts does not allow for its rapid replacement, which complicates the process of preparing the experiment. There is no possibility of servicing the bullet receiver (bullet trap) without removing it from the hydrodynamic chamber.
An object of the present invention is to develop a design of a hydroballistic stand that does not have the above disadvantages, improve service conditions, reduce preparation time, and improve the quality of the experiment by using additional means of monitoring, observation and measurement.
The technical result of the invention is achieved due to the fact that in a hydroballistic stand containing a vacuum ballistic installation barrel, electromagnetic muzzle velocity sensor, a vacuum silencer with a membrane, a chamber for separating the leading parts and the pallet from the missile model with portholes and located shutoff valves, hydrodynamic chamber with shutoff valves, the following differences are provided. The vacuum silencer is movable relative to the barrel of the ballistic installation and is equipped with portholes, the attachment unit of the vacuum silencer membrane contains a valve, and a gateway is additionally mounted between the chamber for separating the leading parts and the hydrodynamic chamber, the housing of which is equipped with a waterproofing frame with an opening axially overlapping by a sealing membrane with the possibility of breakthrough throwable model. The hydrodynamic chamber consists of separate, interchangeable movable sections with portholes. The end section of the hydrodynamic chamber is equipped with a catcher throwing model and a hatch.
A window of radiolucent material equipped with a millimeter-wave radar is provided in the vacuum silencer of the proposed stand.
The invention is illustrated by drawings.
FIG. 1 - Hydroballistic stand, FIG. 2 - Gateway hydroballistic stand.
9).Hydroballistic stand FIG. 1 consists of a powder ballistic installation with a combustion chamber (Fig. 1, pos. 1), the barrel of which (Fig. 1, pos. 2) partially enters the vacuum silencer (Fig. 1, pos. 3) through a sealing unit. The volume of the vacuum silencer depends on the volume of the combustion chamber of the ballistic installation. The vacuum silencer is equipped with hermetic channels for inputting registration cables connected to the speed sensor (Fig. 1, item 4). The vacuum silencer has shutoff valves by means of which air is removed during the evacuation period (Fig. 1, item 5), suction of throwing gases after the experiment into the ventilation system (Fig. 1, item 6), drainage of water received during the experiment (Fig. 1, item 7). The vacuum silencer has a membrane mount (Fig. 1, item 8), which ensures separation of the evacuated volume during the preparation of the experiment. The membrane mount (Fig. 1, item 8) has a valve. The valve is a sphere with a diameter greater than the diameter of the bore of the membrane attachment unit (Fig. 1, item 8). As a sphere, a rubber ball can be used, which is freely located in the chamber separating the leading parts and the pallet from the missile model (Fig. 1, item 9).
The valve operates as follows. When a membrane (Fig. 1, pos. E m ) breaks through the membrane (Fig. 1, pos. 8), air from the separation chamber of the leading parts (Fig. 1, pos. 9) begins to enter the vacuum muffler (Fig. 1, pos. . 3). The air flow picks up the “ball”, which blocks the hole of the membrane attachment unit (Fig. 1, item 8). Thus, the entry of water into the vacuum silencer is excluded (Fig. 1, item 3). The vacuum silencer is equipped with portholes, which makes it possible to observe the process of the throwing model exit (Fig. 1, pos. E m ) from the barrel at a distance from the cut of the electromagnetic muzzle velocity sensor to the membrane attachment site. Surveillance is carried out through specialized photo-video recorders (Fig. 1, pos. In p ). It is possible to illuminate the observation area with pulsed light sources (Fig. 1, pos. And s ). The design of the vacuum silencer provides a window of radiolucent material onto which a radar (Fig. 1, pos. P) of millimeter range is mounted. The millimeter-wave radar provides information on the dynamics of acceleration of a propelled model in the barrel. The vacuum silencer is made on a movable platform, which allows it to be shifted coaxially with the barrel of the ballistic installation and for the rapid replacement of the membrane. A chamber for separating the leading parts and the pallet from the missile model is fastened to the flange of the vacuum silencer (Fig. 1, item 9). Separation is carried out by the aerodynamic method, the length of the aerodynamic section of the trajectory is 3 m. The separation chamber of the leading parts and the pallet has portholes for observing the process of separating elements of the missile assembly from the missile model. The separation chamber of the leading parts and the pallet has shutoff valves, which allows increasing the air pressure to activate the separation processes during the experiment, draining or pumping water after the experiment using the pump (Fig. 1, item M). A lock (Fig. 1, pos. 10) is attached to the chamber separating the leading parts and the pallet, into which a frame with a sealing membrane is installed. Further, sections of the hydrodynamic chamber are attached (Fig. 1, item 11). Sections have portholes that allow you to observe the processes that accompany the movement of propelled models in supercavitation mode at different speeds. The sections of the hydrodynamic chamber are unified, have a movable platform, which allows you to change the length of the hydrodynamic chamber. In the present technical solution, the length of the hydrodynamic chamber is more than 10 m. A frame is installed in the end section of the hydrodynamic chamber (Fig. 1, item 12), to which, depending on the requirements of the experiment, various kinds of obstacles can be attached, it can also be installed on it catcher throwable models. Servicing the trap of throwable models is carried out through the hatch (Fig. 1, item 13). The hydrodynamic chamber has shutoff valves, which makes it possible to fill the chamber volume with water, drain the water, and change the pressure in accordance with the requirements of the experimental conditions.
The gateway (Fig. 1, pos. 10) of the hydroballistic stand - (Fig. 2) consists of a housing (Fig. 2, pos. A) and a pipe welded to it (Fig. 2, pos. B). The diameter of the hole (Fig. 2, pos. C) is equal to the inner diameter of the hydrodynamic chamber. On the waterproofing frame (Fig. 2, pos. D), a sealing membrane is attached, for example, from a plastic film, after which it is inserted into the housing. By means of clamping devices (Fig. 2, pos. E), which simultaneously serve as guides for installing the frame, it is pressed against the wall of the body, on the opposite side of which a pipe with a flange is welded to attach the gateway to the first section of the hydrodynamic chamber.
Hydroballistic stand works as follows.
In the barrel (Fig. 1, pos. 2) a throwable model is installed (Fig. 1, pos. Em), the volume of the vacuum muffler is evacuated. Upon reaching the forevacuum and the completion of preparatory work, a shot is fired. The acceleration of the missile model in the barrel is recorded by a millimeter-wave radar. Next, the throwing model, passing through the speed sensor generates pulses that are used to determine the speed of the throwing model at the barrel edge and trigger the clock delay generator to start the backlight devices and recording equipment. The throwing gases flowing from the barrel are freely distributed in the vacuum silencer. The missile model, moving along the trajectory, breaks through the membrane installed in the mount, and goes into the separation chamber, where, under the influence of air, the pushing tray and drive parts are separated from the missile model, which either lag or are destroyed. Under the action of the flow of air flowing into the vacuum silencer, the valve is activated, separating the volumes of the vacuum silencer and the separation chamber. Moving further along the trajectory, the throwing model punctures the membrane installed in the airlock and enters the hydrodynamic chamber. Porthole sections of the hydrodynamic chamber allow you to observe the processes that accompany the movement of the propelled model in the water at different distances. Meanwhile, water from the hydrodynamic chamber enters the separation chamber. Further, during the preparation of the next experiment, the waterproofing frame is removed from the gateway, and the membrane is replaced. The membrane frame is installed back into the gateway. Water from the separation chamber is pumped back to the hydrodynamic section by a pump. At the same time, the body of the vacuum silencer is undocked from the flange containing the membrane mount, and is shifted along the barrel. As soon as the water level in the separation chamber decreases, the valve can be opened and the membrane replaced in the mount (Fig. 1, item 8). After attaching the vacuum silencer body to the flange and installing the missile model into the accelerating channel of the ballistic installation, the stand is ready for the next experiment.
The proposed design of the hydroballistic stand allows for aeroballistic research, experiments on high-speed interaction of propelled models with obstacles, to observe hydrodynamic processes, to study the processes of supercavitation.
The hydroballistic stand is used to select materials, refine designs and forms of missile models, select materials and practice designs of leading elements, assess the stability of barriers from various materials to the effects of various missile models. In addition, it allows you to observe the processes that accompany the movement of the missile models on the entire trajectory, to effectively improve both the missile model itself and the design of the missile assembly. The hydroballistic stand provides a reduction in the sound of the shot, completely localizes the throwing gas, which after the experiment is removed into the ventilation system. Eliminates the release of water outside the experimental setup.
The proposed technical solutions make it possible to quickly replace membranes, which reduces the time for preparation of the experiment. The design allows the use of a wide range of instrumentation recording equipment.
The operating experience of this hydroballistic stand showed that the stand can be effectively used in various ballistic studies.
