Description
[1].The invention relates to the metallurgical industry and can be used to stabilize decaying steelmaking slag. A known method of stabilizing decaying slag due to the introduction of boron oxide into its composition to produce slag containing, after cooling, stabilized high-temperature forms of dicalcium silicate [1].
Signs that match the features of the invention are:
- загрузка шлакообразующей смеси;- loading slag-forming mixture;
- наведение шлака;- slag guidance;
- снижение температуры шлакообразования за счет ввода в шихту добавок, содержащих оксид бора;- lowering the temperature of slag formation due to the introduction of additives containing boron oxide into the charge;
- получение стабилизированного шлака;- obtaining stabilized slag;
- выпуск продуктов плавки.- release of smelting products.
Reasons that hinder the achievement of the technical result:
- дефицит и высокая стоимость вводимых добавок;- deficiency and high cost of added additives;
- введение в печь в составе шихты оксида бора в количестве, обеспечивающем стабилизацию шлака от силикатного распада, приводит к чрезмерному снижению температуры процесса плавки вследствие раннего образования легкоплавкого борсодержащего шлакового расплава, способствующего холодному ходу печи, снижению полноты протекания реакций и, как следствие, ухудшению технико-экономических показателей плавки;- the introduction of boron oxide into the furnace as a part of the mixture in order to stabilize the slag from silicate decomposition, leads to an excessive decrease in the temperature of the melting process due to the early formation of a fusible boron-containing slag melt, which contributes to the cold course of the furnace, a decrease in the completeness of the reaction and, as a consequence, the deterioration of the technology -economic indicators of smelting;

This leads to a decrease in the effect that stabilizes the high-temperature forms of dicalcium silicate of slag after it is cooled and a melting product with new technological properties is obtained;
- длительное пребывание легкоплавкого борсодержащего шлакового расплава в печи приводит к снижению стойкости футеровки за счет растворения гарнисажного слоя и сокращения его толщины.- prolonged stay of fusible boron-containing slag melt in the furnace leads to a decrease in the lining resistance due to dissolution of the skull layer and reduction of its thickness.
The closest in technical essence and the achieved result is a method of stabilizing steelmaking slag [2], in which the following features are common with the claimed method:

- введение борсодержащего материала в расплавленный шлак требует дополнительной обработки шлака для равномерного распределения оксида бора в объеме обрабатываемого шлака, что приводит к увеличению продолжительности плавки;- the introduction of boron-containing material into the molten slag requires additional processing of slag for a uniform distribution of boron oxide in the volume of the processed slag, which leads to an increase in the duration of smelting;
- неравномерное распределение оксида бора в объеме обрабатываемого шлака при его охлаждении снижает эффект стабилизации и приводит к распаду отдельных объемов остывшего шлака, в которых содержание оксида бора оказалось недостаточным для стабилизации высокотемпературных форм двухкальциевого силиката.- uneven distribution of boron oxide in the volume of the processed slag during cooling reduces the stabilization effect and leads to the decomposition of individual volumes of cooled slag, in which the content of boron oxide was insufficient to stabilize the high-temperature forms of dicalcium silicate.
The basis of the invention is the task of complete and uniform assimilation of boron oxide by the entire volume of highly basic steelmaking slag involved in the process of out-of-furnace steel processing.
The expected technical result is:
- снижение температуры и вязкости обрабатываемого шлака за счет введения колеманита;- decrease in temperature and viscosity of the processed slag due to the introduction of colemanite;
- равномерное распределение стабилизатора в объеме обрабатываемого шлака;- uniform distribution of the stabilizer in the volume of processed slag;

- обеспечение стабилизации высокотемпературных форм двухкальциевого силиката (исключающих силикатный распад) во всем объеме шлака в процессе и после его охлаждения;- ensuring the stabilization of high-temperature forms of dicalcium silicate (excluding silicate decomposition) in the entire volume of slag during and after cooling;
- исключение негативного воздействия продуктов распада на окружающую среду;- elimination of the negative impact of decay products on the environment;
The task is achieved in that boron oxide is introduced into the composition of steelmaking slag in the form of natural colemanite material in various ways.

рис.1, 2).The method of stabilization of decaying slag is implemented as follows. In those cases where the boron content in steel is strictly regulated, the introduction of colemanite into the composition of steelmaking slag is carried out in the process of after-furnace treatment when downloading slag from the ladle before evacuating the steel. A sample of colemanite prepared according to the fractional composition, corresponding to the mass of the processed slag, is introduced uniformly directly into the stream and onto the surface of the melt when downloading slag. The presence of colemanite in addition to boron oxide, calcium oxide, five water molecules promotes a uniform distribution of boron oxide in the volume of the processed slag, lowers the melting point and viscosity of the slag, and provides a constant and adjustable content of boron oxide in the slag composition. Mixing with slag melt, colemanite particles are heated. At a temperature of 350-500 ° С, hydrated moisture is intensively released, the moisture output is accompanied by mixing of the slag melt, colemanite decomposes into small particles that melt and are evenly distributed in the volume of the processed slag, forming a solid solution of boron oxide with high-temperature forms of dicalcium silicate. A solid solution of boron oxide in high-temperature forms of dicalcium silicate does not undergo polymorphic transformations of the crystal lattice, and the slag acquires a structure resistant to decay. Downloading slag is carried out in bowls or on prepared sites. Before shipment, slag is downloaded from several heats. The supply of a stabilizer promotes a uniform distribution of boron oxide not only within the slag volume from a single heat, but also in the volume of the entire slag monolith formed in several downloads. Slag treated in this way does not decompose not only during cooling, but also during subsequent storage and use (see Fig. 1, 2).
When the steel is not subjected to evacuation, the slag is not downloaded, after processing at the ladle furnace, it is fed to the continuous casting plant, the introduction of colemanite into the composition of steelmaking slag in the form of a natural mineral fraction of 3-90 mm in an amount of 0.5-1.5% of the slag mass is carried out when downloading slag from the ladle after casting steel.
When processing steelmaking slag directly in the ladle furnace, colemanite is set in the form of a natural mineral of a fraction of 3-90 mm in an amount of 0.5-1.5% of the mass of slag either directly into the ladle before the refining process is completed, or as part of slag-forming components when pointing refining slag. In this case, the presence of colemanite in the composition of the slag-forming mixture accelerates the process of slag guidance and improves its refining ability by lowering the melting temperature, slag viscosity and increasing the contact surface area of the metal and slag phase. The mass of introduced colemanite compared with the mass of processed slag and metal is incommensurably small, and the chemical composition of colemanite has practically no components that can change the properties of the processed steel.
1.The selection of the weight of a sample of colemanite for stabilization of steelmaking slag was carried out in laboratory and industrial conditions. A sample of the decayed steelmaking slag was melted and slowly cooled with a furnace. During cooling, the slag completely disintegrated into powder. This sample was taken as a control sample. Then, colemanite was added to the same slag sample. The weight of the colemanite sample was taken equal to 0.1; 0.15; 0.2; 0.4; 0.5; 0.75; 1.0; 1.5 and 2.00% by weight of slag. A portion of colemanite was introduced into the slag during the overflow of slag melt into a heated crucible and immediately before melting. After melting, the furnace was turned off and the molten slag sample with a weight of colemanite was slowly cooled to eliminate the thermal stabilization factor. After cooling, the state of the slag was monitored. Stabilized slag was tested in an autoclave for structural stability according to GOST 3344-83. The results of the evaluation of the state of slag after treatment with colemanite are shown in table 1.
The results of the selection of the weight of the colemanite sample show that a sample weighing from 0.5 to 1.5% by weight of the processed slag provides stabilization of the slag for any type of processing: when downloading slag before evacuating steel, when downloading slag from a ladle after casting steel and when processing in UKP. The increase in the mass of the sample above the above values does not change the stability indicators of the structure of stabilized slag, but the costs of the stabilizer increase.
It should be noted that in laboratory conditions, colemanite of smaller fractions of 3-5 mm was used for processing slag during overflow of slag melt, and during melting in a crucible up to 25 mm. When tested in production conditions during the processing of slag, colemanite fractions of 3-10 mm were used in the loading process, and when a ladle furnace with a grain size of up to 90 mm was fed into the installation. The choice of colemanite fractions used for slag processing is determined by the temperature of the slag melt and the method of introducing colemanite. When entering colemanite during the download process, the temperature of the slag is not always sufficient to completely melt the colemanite. Therefore, small fractions of colemanite are better distributed in the volume of processed slag and more quickly melt in it. The lower the temperature of the processed slag, the finer the colemanite fraction should be and more averaged in the volume of processed slag. In this case, the content of pulverulent fractions in the composition of colemanite should be limited, since they are easily aerated by rising convective flows and do not fall into the volume of processed slag. When slag is processed in an UKP, the slag temperature can be increased by additional heating, and the physical properties of colemanite are such that, under the influence of temperature, large pieces are destroyed and easily melt in the volume of processed slag.
