Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of metallurgy, in particular to the continuous casting of preforms with soft compression in a solid-liquid state through pairs of rollers.
(RU 2226138, B22D 11/12).A known method for the continuous casting of billets, comprising supplying metal from a steel pouring ladle to an intermediate ladder and then to a mold, pulling a billet from it at a given speed, cooling it in a secondary cooling zone with compression of the billet in a solid-liquid state by rollers. In this case, the drawing speed with respect to casting without compression increases, and the compression is carried out by pairs of rollers in a pull-crimp stand, while the surface temperature and the length of the liquid phase of the workpiece are determined, and the pressure in the hydraulic cylinders for each pair of rollers of the pull-crimp stand is set depending on drawing speed, surface temperature of the workpiece and the grade of cast steel (RU 2226138, B22D 11/12).
The disadvantage of this method is the inability to achieve the necessary compression rate of the cast billet due to the short length of the zone of "soft compression" in the pulling stand on 4 pairs of rollers. In addition, this method is focused on a specific continuous casting machine and a narrow casting speed range, which significantly limits its scope.
The closest in technical essence and selected as a prototype is a method for continuous casting of billets, which includes supplying metal from a steel ladle to an intermediate ladder and further to a mold, drawing billets from it, cooling in a secondary cooling zone, soft compression in a solid-liquid state by means of pairs of rollers, this compression of the workpiece in each pair of rollers is carried out according to
0,25≤fL≤0,75,ΔU SR = k 1 k 2 Δν SR with the relative content of the liquid phase f L in the two-phase zone in the center of the workpiece within 0.25≤f L ≤0.75,
где k1=1,5-5,5 - коэффициент, учитывающий поперечное деформирование материала в двухфазной зоне при обжатии и зависящий от относительного содержания жидкой фазы в центральной зоне заготовки;where k 1 = 1,5-5,5 - coefficient taking into account the transverse deformation of the material in the two-phase zone during compression and depending on the relative content of the liquid phase in the Central zone of the workpiece;
k2=2,2-4,1 - коэффициент, учитывающий деформирование затвердевшей корочки заготовки и зависящий от отношения размера двухфазной зоны в соответствующей роликовой паре к толщине заготовки;k 2 = 2.2-4.1 - coefficient taking into account the deformation of the hardened crust of the workpiece and depending on the ratio of the size of the two-phase zone in the corresponding roller pair to the thickness of the workpiece;
(RU 2269395, B22D 11/12).Δν SR - complete shrinkage of the workpiece during solidification of the metal in the corresponding roller pair, mm (RU 2269395, B22D 11/12).
The disadvantage of this method is that the soft compression of the workpiece throughout the effective compression interval is carried out with the same intensity, which will lead to the formation of internal cracks or the formation in the central zone of friability and chemical heterogeneity, which will degrade the quality of continuously cast billets.
The technical result from the use of this invention is to improve the quality of continuously cast billets.
The specified technical effect is achieved by the fact that in the method of continuous casting of billets, comprising supplying metal from a steel pouring ladle to an intermediate ladle and further to the mold, drawing the billet from the mold, cooling in the secondary cooling zone, soft compression of the billet in a solid-liquid state by means of pairs of rollers according to the invention soft-reduction portion on the workpiece with a relative content of the liquid phase f L in the two-phase zone at the center of the workpiece within 0,1≤f L ≤0,5 produce at a speed of 1,26-1,65 mm / in, and the area with the relative content of f L of the liquid phase in a two phase zone in the workpiece within 0.5 <f L ≤0,9 produced at a rate 0.5-1.25 mm / min.
The essence of the proposed method of organizing the mode of "soft reduction" during continuous casting of slab billets is to create the necessary ferrostatic pressure at the crystallization front, which effectively fills the resulting shrinkage voids (pores) with liquid melt in the final crystallization section of the billet.
The range of compression of the workpiece 1.26-1.65 mm / min in the area with a relative content of the liquid phase f L in the two-phase zone in the center of the workpiece in the range 0.1≤f L ≤0.5 is explained by the hydrodynamic processes occurring in the two-phase zone, and its permeability. At a reduction rate of less than 1.26 mm / min, the necessary intensity of approaching the crystallization fronts will not be provided to create pressure in the two-phase zone, which allows overcoming the resistance from the side of the crystal structure, as a result of which the pore concentration will increase, which will degrade the quality of the workpiece macrostructure. At a reduction rate of more than 1.65 mm / min due to the occurrence of plastic deformation, cracks will form on the surface of the workpiece, which will degrade the quality of the surface of the workpiece.
The compression range of the workpiece 0.50-1.25 mm / min in the area with the relative content of the liquid phase f L in the two-phase zone in the center of the workpiece in the range of 0.5 <f L ≤0.9 is explained by the hydrodynamic processes occurring in the two-phase zone, its permeability and ductility. At a reduction rate of less than 0.50 mm / min, the necessary intensity of convergence of the crystallization fronts will not be provided to create pressure in the two-phase zone, which allows overcoming the resistance from the side of the crystal structure, as a result of which the pore concentration will increase, which will degrade the quality of the workpiece macrostructure. At a compression rate of more than 1.25 mm / min, internal cracks will form at the crystallization front due to the occurrence of plastic deformations, which will degrade the quality of the workpiece macrostructure.
The inventive method for continuous casting of billets was tested when casting steel on a single-strand slab continuous casting machine of curvilinear type. In the process of continuous casting of preforms with a thickness of 300 mm from K60 steel with a draw speed of 0.8 m / min on a horizontal section of the roller web in two segments, consisting of seven pairs of rollers each, the workpiece was gently crimped.
The results of using the proposed invention at the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works and differing from the proposed method for continuous casting are shown in the table.
The table shows that the result of the use of the invention at the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works allowed to obtain slabs with a minimum degree of development of defects "axial friability" and "cracks perpendicular to the faces" and the absence of defects.
