Description
The present invention relates to a plasma technique and technology, and in particular to methods for producing metal nanopowders.
The prior art method for producing metal powders is described in the patent of the Russian Federation 2093311 C1, B22F 9/14. 10.20. 1997, with the help of an electronic explosion of conductors, which includes the destruction of a conductor when a high-density current passes through it of the order of 10 7 A / cm 2 for a time of 10 -5 ... 10 -7 s. The disadvantages of this technical solution are the need for a robust camera, a sufficiently powerful special high-voltage energy source that generates current pulses, a large spread of the resulting particles in their size. In addition, the process is difficult to automate in continuous operation.
Closest to the claimed technical solution is the method of producing a metal powder described in RF patent 2332280 C2, B22F 9/14, 06/30/2006, in which the powder is obtained by igniting a discharge between two electrodes, one of which is a cathode that is made of sprayed material in in the form of a rod, with a diameter of 10≤d≤40 mm. An electrolyte (process water) is used as another electrode anode. The process of obtaining powder is carried out with the following parameters: voltage between the electrodes 500≤U≤650 V, discharge current 1.5≤I≤3 A, the distance between the cathode and electrolyte 2≤l≤10 mm. The whole process is carried out at atmospheric pressure.
The disadvantage of the prototype is the impossibility of obtaining in the conditions indicated therein powders with a dispersion of less than 5 microns, and the prototype also has insufficient productivity for producing metal powder.
The technical problem to be solved is to obtain metal powders with a dispersion of 10 to 100 nm, that is, to obtain nanopowders, and to increase the productivity of obtaining metal powder.
The technical problem to be solved in a method for producing a metal powder, including ignition of a discharge between two electrodes, one of which is a cathode that is made of a sprayed material in the form of a rod, and an electrolyte is used as the other electrode-anode, that the cathode in the form of a rod is made with a diameter 4≤d≤12 mm, the voltage between the solid cathode and the liquid anode is set to 120≤U≤1000 V, the discharge current is set to 50≤I≤900 mA, the distance between the solid cathode and the liquid anode is set to 2≤l≤40 mm 2≤p≤20 kPa is installed in the bottom chamber, where U is the voltage between the solid cathode and the liquid anode, I is the discharge current, l is the distance between the solid cathode and the liquid anode, p is the pressure in the discharge chamber. The process is carried out at an electrolyte concentration - salt solutions - from 2% to saturation.

Figure 2 shows a histogram of the particle size distribution of the obtained powder.
The discharge chamber (Fig. 1) consists of a base 1 and a cap 2, the connection between which is sealed with vacuum rubber. At the base of the discharge chamber, special holes have been made where the fittings 3 and 4 are hermetically inserted. They connect the chamber to the vacuum fittings of the installation:
A method of producing a metal powder is carried out as follows: a solid electrode 11 in the form of a rod with a diameter of 4≤d≤12 mm from the sprayed material (iron oxide, nickel, titanium) is fixed in the
The choice of specific values of voltage, current, pressure and interelectrode distance is determined by the optimal values to obtain a powder with a given dispersion. Only at such values of the interelectrode distance 2≤l≤40 mm, pressure 2≤p≤20 kPa, voltage 120≤U≤1000 V, discharge current 50≤I≤900 mA, cathode rod diameter 4≤d≤12 mm and electrolyte concentration from 2% and until saturation they achieve the solved technical problem. The implementation of the process within the specified range of parameters allows to obtain powders with a maximum capacity of up to 60 g / hour.
В зависимости от параметров технологического процесса основная фракция может составлять от 16% до 34% (наночастицы с диаметром от 10 до 100 нм).The particle size distribution of the iron oxide powder obtained at a voltage of U = 312 V, a discharge current of I = 340 mA and a pressure of p = 8 kPa is shown in FIG. The histogram of the particle size distribution shows that the powder consists of fractions with different particle sizes. Powders obtained by plasma spraying have a spherical particle shape or slightly ellipsoidal. The surface of the particles is predominantly smooth. The particle size is determined by the conditions of the technological process for their preparation and can be from 10 nm to 2 μm. Depending on the parameters of the technological process, the main fraction can be from 16% to 34% (nanoparticles with a diameter of 10 to 100 nm).
д.).Thus, in comparison with the prototype, this method of producing metal powder allows to reduce the diameter of the powder by hundreds of times and increases the productivity of obtaining powder from one electrode to 60 g / hour. The installation allows you to work simultaneously with six electrodes. Moreover, the nanopowder production capacity reaches up to 360 g / h. The bulk of the resulting powder (approximately 60%) has a dispersion of 10-100 nm. Using this method, it is possible to obtain nanopowders of various metals and alloys (Art. 3, Art. 20, Art. 45, U8, U8A, U10, nickel, titanium, tungsten, molybdenum, etc.).
