Abstract
Description
The invention relates to power plants with electrochemical generators (ECG) based on hydrogen-oxygen fuel cells (TE) and can be used in the manufacture and operation of these power plants.
220-222).A significant spread in the national economy is ECG, in which the removal of water and heat from the reaction zone occurs due to the circulation of the electrolyte. The electrolyte is heated in the reaction zone of the compound of hydrogen with oxygen and absorbs water, after which it is cooled in a static type electrolyte regenerator as a result of evaporation of excess water. The circulation of the electrolyte greatly facilitates the maintenance of the balance of water and heat in the reaction zone of the compound of hydrogen with oxygen (N.V. Korovin. "Electrochemical Generators". Moscow, "Energy", 1974, pp. 106-109, 118-121). However, the circulating electrolyte raises the need to address issues related to shunting fuel cells by electrolyte (leakage currents by electrolyte, gas evolution and mass transfer, etc.) (N. Lidorenko, G. F. Muchnik. “Electrochemical generators.” Moscow, Energy Publishing, 1982, pp. 220-222).
The regulation of the temperature and humidity conditions in such ECGs is carried out in heat exchangers included in the internal cooling circuit. Condensation of excess moisture occurs on heat-exchange surfaces and due to the corresponding cooling of hydrogen. Condensed moisture is pumped using special pumps either to the condensate collector or to the water recovery system.
40-42).In ECG based on hydrogen-oxygen fuel cells and in the method of removing water and heat from the reaction zone of fuel cells taken as a prototype, there is no problem of shorting fuel cells by electrolyte (S.A. Podshivalov, E.I. Ivanov and others. "Space power plants apparatuses. ”Moscow, Energoizdat, 1981, pp. 40-42).
An ECG based on hydrogen-oxygen fuel cells, taken as a prototype, consists of a heat discharge circuit with a temperature sensor and a pump and a radiator connected in series, fuel cell batteries with hydrogen and oxygen supply pipelines, with electricity output buses, with a water discharge valve and a control system and monitoring the ECG, as well as the hydrogen pumping circuit, including a compressor (fan), the output of which is connected to the hydrogen inlet pipe to the fuel cell battery, and the input to the hydrogen output from prices rifugi separator with upper and lower level detectors moisture.
ECG works as follows. In the hydrogen pumping circuit due to the continuous circulation of hydrogen, water vapor and heat are removed from the fuel cell. Next, the flow of the steam-hydrogen mixture enters the hydrogen heat exchanger-regenerator, which transfers part of the heat released in the fuel cell to gaseous hydrogen to maintain the required temperature of the fuel cell battery. After that, the steam-hydrogen mixture enters the condenser, where heat is transferred to the coolant, and the resulting decrease in temperature causes condensation of water vapor, as well as cooling of water and hydrogen. A centrifuge-separator driven by an electric motor separates liquid water and discharges it into a water collecting tank. The cooled “dry” hydrogen is then pumped back to the fuel cell using a fan. The heat given in the condenser to the coolant is removed with its help to the panels of the refrigerator-emitter.
Thus, a method of removing water and heat from the reaction zone of a battery of fuel cells (S. A. Podshivalov, E. I. Ivanov and others. "Power installations of spacecraft." Moscow, Epergoizdat, 1981, pp. 40-42) consists in the following. They supply hydrogen and oxygen to the fuel cell battery. Hydrogen leaving the reaction zone of the battery of fuel cells is heated and saturated with water vapor due to the chemical combination of hydrogen with oxygen in the reaction zone. The resulting steam-hydrogen mixture is cooled to ambient temperature. Condensed water is separated from hydrogen, which is again pumped into the battery of fuel cells.
A disadvantage of the known ECG and a method that implements the removal of water and heat from the reaction zone of the battery of fuel cells is the difficulty of removing water and heat, due to the fact that the process of cooling water requires additional energy consumption (since hydrogen, together with the vapor mixture, enters the reaction zone cooled to ambient temperature).
A known method of regulating moisture content in a hydrogen-oxygen battery (patent RU 2081478, 06/10/1997, IPC 6 Н01М 8/18, Н01М 8/04), comprising supplying hydrogen and oxygen to the fuel cell battery, purging hydrogen with fuel cells, output of the hydrogen-vapor mixture from the reaction zone of the fuel cell battery, cooling the resulting steam-hydrogen mixture to a vapor condensation temperature by injecting water cooled to ambient temperature with a flow rate determined by the expression:

This method is adopted as a prototype.
The disadvantage of this method is the additional consumption of water, since there is a removal of water formed as a result of a chemical reaction in the battery of fuel cells, and the water necessary to discharge heat from the reaction zone.
The objective of the invention is to increase the efficiency of the process of removing water and heat from the reaction zone of the battery of fuel cells (the continuity of the process of removing heat and water resulting from a chemical reaction).
The technical result consists in the fact that the invention allows:
- снизить энергозатраты за счет подачи водорода в батарею топливных элементов, разогретых до температуры конденсации паров воды;- reduce energy consumption by supplying hydrogen to the battery of fuel cells heated to the temperature of condensation of water vapor;
- увеличить надежность и ресурс ЭХГ, так как агрегаты постоянно работают в условиях без резких перепадов температуры, обеспечивая при этом непрерывное удаление конечных продуктов токообразующей реакции.- to increase the reliability and resource of the ECG, as the units are constantly working in conditions without sudden temperature changes, while ensuring continuous removal of the final products of the current-forming reaction.
The technical result is achieved due to the fact that the electrochemical generator based on hydrogen-oxygen fuel cells contains a heat discharge circuit with a temperature sensor and a pump, the output of which is connected to the radiator-radiator input, a fuel cell battery with hydrogen and oxygen supply pipelines, and electricity output buses , with a water discharge valve, a control system for the electrochemical generator, a hydrogen pumping circuit, including a fan, the outlet of which is connected to the supply pipe hydrogen into the fuel cell battery, and the input with the hydrogen output from the centrifuge separator with moisture level detectors, a hydrogen and water mixer with fittings for water inlet, hydrogen inlet and the mixture of hydrogen and water from the fuel cell battery is introduced into it, while on the nozzle The hydrogen inlet and water in the mixer are equipped with a temperature sensor, and the outlet from the centrifuge-water separator is connected to the pump inlet, the radiator outlet is connected to the water inlet of the mixer in water and hydrogen, the inlet of the hydrogen-water mixture is connected to the entrance to the centrifuge separator, and the water discharge valve is connected to the heat removal circuit, and the signals from the temperature sensors and moisture level sensors are connected to the entrance to the control and monitoring system of the electrochemical generator, the outputs of which are connected to the pump and the water discharge valve.
Технический результат достигается также за счет того, что в способе удаления воды и тепла из зоны реакции батареи топливных элементов, включающем подачу водорода и кислорода к батарею топливных элементов, продувку водородом топливных элементов, выход пароводородной смеси из зоны реакции батареи топливных элементов, охлаждение полученной пароводородной смеси до температуры конденсации пара путем впрыскивания воды, охлажденной до температуры окружающей среды, с расходом, определяемым выражением: , The technical result is also achieved due to the fact that in the method of removing water and heat from the reaction zone of the battery of fuel cells, including supplying hydrogen and oxygen to the battery of fuel cells, purging with hydrogen fuel cells, the exit of the steam-hydrogen mixture from the reaction zone of the battery of fuel cells, cooling the resulting steam mixture to a condensation temperature of steam by injecting water cooled to ambient temperature with a flow rate determined by the expression: ,

The essence of the invention lies in the fact that the steam-hydrogen mixture formed in the reaction zone of the battery of fuel cells with a temperature of 98 ° C is cooled by the amount of water determined by the formula (1). In this case, steam condensation and the formation of water with a temperature of 90-95 ° C, as well as the cooling of hydrogen to a temperature of 90-95 ° C. This formed steam-water mixture with hydrogen is sent to a centrifuge-separator, where hot water is separated from hydrogen, then hydrogen enters the battery of fuel cells, and hot water formed both as a result of a chemical reaction and necessary for cooling (discharge) of heat accumulates in centrifuge separator. The water level in the centrifuge changes due to the amount of water formed in the reaction zone of the fuel cell battery. As the water level resulting from a chemical reaction changes, it is removed from the reaction zone of the fuel cell stack and cooled to ambient temperature.
(1).It was experimentally confirmed that constant moisture content and heat removal during prolonged operation during a sharp change in load occurs at a water flow rate determined by formula (1).
The coefficient of flow control ((5.1-5.3) · 10 -5 ) is provided automatically, due to the fact that the ECG operates only in a certain range issued to the customer, electric power from N min to N max (for example, N min = 1 kW, a N max = 10 kW). At N max , more heat and water vapor are released, in connection with which the temperature at the outlet of the TE battery measured by the temperature sensor 9 increases, which increases the temperature difference measured by the sensors 9 and 10. By the signal of the increase in the temperature difference, the productivity of pump 2 is increased, providing water flow, which leads to a decrease in the temperature of the water leaving the radiator-emitter 3 to a predetermined level, and, consequently, to a decrease in the temperature of the condensed water entering the mixer through hydrogen and water 5, also about the set value. At N min the amount of heat and water vapor decreases, and therefore the temperature at the outlet of the TE battery measured by the temperature sensor 9 decreases, which reduces the difference in temperature measured by the sensors 9 and 10. By the signal of the decrease in the temperature difference, the performance of pump 2 is reduced, providing water consumption, which leads to an increase in the temperature of the water leaving the radiator 3 to a predetermined level and, therefore, to an increase in the temperature of the water entering the mixer 5, also to a predetermined level. With the optimal predetermined constant electric power allocated to the consumer ECH, and a specific constant temperature at the outlet of the radiator-emitter 3, the flow of cooling water is determined by the formula:
где G - расход охлаждающей воды, кг/с;where G is the flow rate of cooling water, kg / s;
I - ток, который выдает потребителю батарея ТЭ (ток на клеммах ЭХГ), А;I is the current that the TE battery gives out to the consumer (current at the ECG terminals), A;
nТЭ - количество ячеек ТЭ;n TE - the number of cells TE;
Δt - градиент температуры между топливными элементами и охлаждающей водой, К.Δt - temperature gradient between fuel cells and cooling water, K.
For example, in an ECG consisting of 30 fuel cells, at a constant temperature difference Δt = t 2 -t 1 = 70 ° С (t 2 is the temperature in the reaction zone equal to 98 ° С, t 1 is the temperature at the radiator outlet -radiator, equal to 28 ° C) and operating at N min = 1 kW (I = 150 A), the flow rate of cooling water, determined by formula (1), is 0.38 · 10 -2 kg / s, and at N max = 10 kW (I = 1000 A), when a greater amount of heat and water vapor is released, the cooling water flow, determined by formula (1), is 2.36 · 10 -2 kg / s. With an optimal, predetermined constant electric power supplied to the consumer by the ECG (for example, N = 5 kW, I = 500 A), and a constant temperature difference, the flow rate of cooling water, determined by formula (2), is 1.18 · 10 -2 kg /from.

A water discharge valve 4 is connected to the heat discharge circuit. The pump inlet 2 is connected to the water outlet of the centrifuge separator 8, the output of the pump 2 is connected to the input of the radiator-emitter 3, and the output of the radiator-emitter 3 is connected to the input of the mixer for hydrogen and water 5. Another input of the mixer for hydrogen and water 5 is connected to the hydrogen output from the battery of the fuel cell 6. The input of the hydrogen pipe 16 to the fuel cell battery 6 is connected to the output of the fan 7, the input of which is connected to the hydrogen output from the centrifuge-separator 8. The centrifuge-separator 8 is equipped with two moisture detectors 11, 12, which are connected to the input of the control and monitoring system ECG 14, and the outputs from the control and monitoring system ECG 14 are connected to the pump and the water discharge valve 4.
9. A temperature sensor 10 is installed at the outlet of the radiator 3. A control system is installed on the tires of the fuel cell battery 13 and ECG control 14.
13.ECG works as follows. Oxygen is supplied to the battery of fuel cells 6 through an oxygen supply line 15, and hydrogen through a hydrogen supply line 16. A fan 7 is connected to the hydrogen supply line 16. As a result of a chemical reaction of a hydrogen compound with oxygen in a fuel cell stack 6, water vapor and heat are generated in the reaction zone. The reaction zone is constantly purged with hydrogen using a fan 7, therefore, at the output of the battery of fuel cells 6, the temperature sensor 9 will always show a temperature that is within the specified limits depending on the flow of hydrogen. Hot and wet hydrogen enters the mixer through hydrogen and water 5, where it is mixed with cold water coming from the heat discharge circuit 1 and cooled in the radiator-radiator 3. The temperature of the cold water coming from the radiator-radiator 3 is measured by a temperature sensor 10 and is located within specified limits due to the fact that the water flow is regulated by a variable displacement pump 2. Hydrogen, cooled to a vapor condensation temperature, that is, with drops of hot water condensate, from the mixer through hydrogen and water 5 enters ntrifuge separator 8, where it is separated into water and hydrogen, which, with the help of a fan 7, again enters the fuel cell battery 6, and water from the centrifuge separator 8 is pumped 2 to the radiator-radiator 3. Moisture detectors 11 are installed in the centrifuge separator 8 and 12, the signal of which opens (by the moisture detector 11) or closes (by the moisture detector 12) the water discharge valve 4. The discharge valve 4 and the pump 2 are controlled according to the readings of temperature sensors 9 and 10 by the ECM 1 control and monitoring system 4 mounted on the tires of the fuel cell battery 13.
