Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to the metallurgy of solder alloys based on palladium, used for soldering palladium and its alloys and intended primarily for the manufacture of jewelry from alloy palladium 850 samples.
- 1998. - С.4).Known alloy based on palladium, containing, wt.%: Palladium - 85.0 ÷ 85.5; silver - 12.5 ÷ 13.5 and nickel - the rest (State standard of the Russian Federation GOST R51152-98 "Alloys based on precious metals jewelry. Stamps" / Gosstandart of Russia. - Moscow: IPK Publishing house of standards. - 1998. - P. 4 )
However, this alloy has a high melting point and also contains nickel. The high melting point makes it difficult to use this alloy when brazing jewelry. In addition, nickel according to EEC directives is not recommended for use in products that come into long-term contact with human skin.
Б. В. Н. з. №11).Closest to the invention in composition is an alloy based on palladium, containing, wt.%: Palladium - 85.0 ÷ 85.5; silver - 0.01 ÷ 15.0; copper - 0.01 ÷ 13.0; gold - 0.01 ÷ 2; molybdenum - 0.01 ÷ 1.0 and rhodium - 0.01 ÷ 1.0 (Pat. RU 2352660, IPC C22C 5/04. Alloy based on palladium / S.B. Sidelnikov, I.V. Tikhov, N. N. Dovzhenko et al. Z. No. 2007101010/02; claimed 09.01.2007; published on 04.20.2009, Bulletin No. 11).
This alloy has the necessary range of mechanical properties, expanding the scope of the alloy in the manufacture of jewelry by metal forming methods, but has unsatisfactory properties, like a solder alloy. A relatively high melting point and hardness, as well as low fluidity, limit the scope of this alloy for brazing palladium and its alloys in the manufacture of jewelry made from palladium alloy 850 samples. The melting point of the alloys determines their operating temperature and the possibility of using them as solders. A decrease in the melting temperature significantly improves the casting conditions for the preparation of workpieces and the technological soldering conditions for alloys such as solders.
The main objective of the invention is the creation of a solder alloy for brazing palladium and its alloys and used mainly in the manufacture of jewelry from alloy palladium 850 samples.
Поставленная задача достигается тем, что припой для пайки ювелирных изделий из сплава палладия 850 пробы, содержащий палладий и медь, дополнительно содержит бор при следующем соотношении компонентов, мас.%:This object is achieved in that the solder for soldering jewelry made of alloy palladium 850 samples containing palladium and copper, additionally contains boron in the following ratio of components, wt.%:
палладий - 85,0÷85,5;palladium - 85.0 ÷ 85.5;
бор - 2,0÷3,2%;boron - 2.0 ÷ 3.2%;
медь - остальное.copper is the rest.
The choice of boundary values of the parameters of the components indicated in the claims is due to the following.
Copper forms a continuous system of solid and liquid solutions with palladium. The copper content in the claimed limits as the rest or - 11.3 ÷ 13.0 wt.% Is optimal for substitution in a known alloy of gold and silver and provides a decrease in melting temperature by 50 ÷ 100 ° C and hardness to a level not exceeding these properties brazed alloy of palladium 850 samples, and with the achievement of the necessary requirements for solder alloys, such as strength, coincidence of fineness and color identity of the base and brazed joint in the finished jewelry.
Boron in the range of 2.0 ÷ 3.2 wt.% Reduces the melting temperature and can be considered as a modifier, grinding the grain of the alloy, which leads to increased fluidity and strength of the brazed joint in the finished jewelry. At lower contents, no eutectic structures will be formed, and at higher contents, brittle palladium borides will arise.
Thus, there is a causal relationship between the hallmarks and the task at hand. The additional introduction of boron into a palladium-based alloy containing copper provides a decrease in the melting temperature, optimal hardness, matching in fineness and color with the main palladium alloy having a sample of 850, and the creation of the necessary strength of the welded joint during brazing in the manufacture of jewelry.
После литья сплав подвергался гомогенизационному отжигу в атмосфере инертного газа (аргона).The alloy was obtained by smelting the main components in an induction furnace in an atmosphere of inert gas (argon). Boron was introduced into the melt through copper. The ligature alloy was a copper-boron alloy with a boron content of up to 20% (by weight) with a eutectic melting point of 1013 ° C. The temperature range of the obtained palladium alloy was determined by differential thermal analysis. The composition of the alloy was controlled by quantitative chemical analysis. Castings in the form of plates were obtained from this alloy by high-speed crystallization on an endless steel tape. After casting, the alloy was subjected to homogenization annealing in an inert gas (argon) atmosphere.
Для исследования технологических свойств отливок из предлагаемого сплава определялись температура плавления, микротвердость и коэффициент отражения в видимом диапазоне волн (прибор SPECORD-M40).To study the technological properties of castings from the proposed alloy, the melting temperature, microhardness, and reflection coefficient in the visible wavelength range were determined (SPECORD-M40 device).
For comparison, tables 1 and 2 show the compositions of the inventive alloy, physico-chemical properties, and also the reflection coefficient in comparison with the known alloy.
850.As can be seen from the tables, the inventive alloy with different chemical composition in the claimed range of the ratio of components (alloys No. 2-4) compared with the known, due to the optimal combination of components in the alloy in the indicated quantitative ratio, has a lower melting point - 1280 ÷ 1320 ° C, optimal hardness - 1245 ÷ 1275 MPa, coincides in fineness and color with the main palladium alloy having a sample of 850.
850.Thus, the use of the inventive solder in comparison with the prototype provides the necessary strength of the welded joint during brazing in the manufacture of jewelry made of palladium alloy having a sample of 850.
