Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of production of catalysts, chemisorbents and desiccants and can be used in various fields of sorption technology for the treatment of industrial exhaust gases.
20.06.97 г.).A known method of producing chemisorbent, including the impregnation of activated carbon particles with a solution of copper, chromium and silver salts and triethylenediamine, heat treatment at a temperature of 105-150 ° C and granules Ross (see RF patent 2081822 C. 01 B 31/08, 01 B J 53 / 04, published on 06/20/97).
The disadvantage of this method is the complexity of the process and the high cost of chemisorbent.
15.09.94 г.).The closest to the proposed technical essence and the achieved result is a method of producing chemisorbent, including impregnation of activated carbon with a total porosity of 0.8-0.9 cm 3 / g, a solution of nickel chloride at a temperature of 30-70 ° C, heat treatment at a temperature 150-250 ° C with a rate of temperature rise of 7-15 ° C / min and exposure at a final temperature of 30-40 min. Moreover, the mass fraction of nickel chloride in the finished product is 5-30% (see RF patent 2019288 class C 01 B 31/16, publ. 09/15/94).
The disadvantage of the prototype is the low capacity of the obtained chemisorbent for mercury vapor.
3,5-6,5%.This goal is achieved by the proposed method, the authors from the scientific and technical literature of the unknown, including impregnating activated carbon with a solution of inorganic salt, heat treatment and rossev granules, which differs from the prototype in that iron chloride III is used as an inorganic salt, with activated carbon with the ratio the indicator of the volume of macropores to the total pore volume of 0.4 to 0.6; impregnation is carried out at a temperature of 18-29 ° C with a ratio of active carbon: solution from 1: 0.66 to 1: 0.9, heat treatment is carried out at a temperature of 100-109 ° C; in contrast to the known method, the mass content of iron chloride III in the finished product is 3.5-6.5%.
The essence of the proposed method is as follows: to absorb mercury vapor from gas emissions, it is important to select such an inorganic salt that would effectively bind mercury in the form of an insoluble salt, and, on the other hand, provide such a porous structure of the base that would allow to introduce the largest amount of salt uniformly . Since the molecules of iron chloride are quite large (mv = 162.2), and, on the other hand, the technical salt has a 6-hydrate form, which does not completely dissociate at the stage of preparation of the solution and therefore partially goes into the pores in an undisociated form, it is required a certain ratio of large macropores to the total pore volume.
Thus, the preparation of the impregnating solution and heat treatment of the product should be carried out in “mild” temperature conditions, providing both the removal of excess moisture and the fixing of inorganic salt on the active surface of coal. At the same time, the amount of iron chloride itself must be sufficient to achieve a high absorption capacity, but, on the other hand, not worsen the absorption kinetics.
The proposed method is as follows: take activated carbon in the form of grains with particle sizes of 0.5-2 mm type SKT (SKT-6A TU 6-16-2333-79), or type AG (AG-5 GOST 20777-75), or another type with a total pore volume of 0.82-1.0 cm 3 / g, then prepare an aqueous solution of iron chloride with a concentration of from 45 to 86 g / L. Impregnation is carried out in an apparatus such as a concrete mixer, to which activated carbon is dosed first, and then a solution of iron chloride is poured in an amount corresponding to its content in the finished product 3.5-6.5%, and it is introduced at a ratio of solution volume to active carbon mass 0, 66-0.90: 1. Impregnated coal is discharged from the apparatus and aged in the open air to flowability. The matched product particles are dried in a fluidized bed furnace or rotary kiln at a temperature of 100-109 ° C for 40-50 minutes. The resulting chemisorbent is cooled to room temperature and its absorption capacity is evaluated for mercury vapor under the following conditions: gas-air flow rate of 0.2 m / s; initial concentration of mercury vapor 3.5 mg / DM 3 ; test temperature 18-25 ° C; relative humidity of the air flow 50%, the height of the layer of chemisorbent 10 cm
