Abstract
Description
The invention relates to methods for controlling moving objects, and more particularly to methods for controlling the rotation of tracked articulated vehicles.
Controlling the rotation of tracked vehicles ensures their maneuverability, which is a combination of qualities that determine the agility of the machine, the stability of its movement on the course and the ability to switch from forward to backward and vice versa (see, for example, A. Stepanov “Floating cars” , M., DOSAAF, 1975.p.77-98). Under the agility of the machine understand its ability to change direction and move along a given path with different radii of curvature, and stability - the ability of the machine to withstand a given direction of linear motion. Agility and stability on the course are combined by the general concept of controllability, which is understood as a combination of qualities that provide, firstly, an easy and quick change of direction and, secondly, practically stable movement on the course.
Stability requirements on the course, as a rule, are in some contradiction with the requirements of agility, since with good stability of the machine on the course it is difficult to change the direction of its movement. Conversely, if the machine has good agility, then it can withstand the given direction of rectilinear movement worse. Therefore, in the practice of creating tracked vehicles, they try to find a combination of agility and stability that would best meet its purpose and operating conditions.
For tracked vehicles, by virtue of their purpose and driving conditions in cramped road conditions, on rough terrain with natural and artificial obstacles, the most important quality is their ability to easily and quickly change the direction of movement.
A known method of controlling the rotation of tracked vehicles (see, for example, “Object 447A. Technical description and operating instructions. Book two. M., Military Publishing House, 1985, p. 592-610), which consists in creating a deviation of the longitudinal axis of the machine by creating the moment of rotation relative to its body by forming a speed difference of the tracks. Turn control is performed using the control levers, when one of them is moved, the speed of rewinding of a certain track decreases and the machine rotates in the direction of movement of the lever (towards the braked track). If the lever is moved completely (all the way), the machine turns sharply (with a small turning radius). With partial movement and installation of the lever in any intermediate position, the steepness of rotation decreases. The less the control lever is moved, the greater the turning radius.
The rotation occurs with the slipping of the friction clutch disks of the gearbox from the side of the lagging track. When the control lever is partially moved, when the pressure in the clutch boosters of the corresponding gearbox is zero, the lagging track is disconnected from the engine and the machine rotates with a free radius. The magnitude of this radius depends on the speed of the machine, its mass, design features, road conditions, etc. Therefore, there is uncertainty that makes it difficult to control.
The sharpest turn with the lagging track completely stopped can be obtained only in first gear (for modern cars) and reverse gear, which requires repeated gear changes (from higher to lower) associated with loss of speed and time.
To successfully complete a turn in this way, a number of rules and restrictions must be observed:
рычаги управления следует перемещать плавно, без рывков, избегая лишних поворотов, что требует определенного мастерства механика-водителя;control levers should be moved smoothly, without jerking, avoiding unnecessary turns, which requires a certain skill of the driver;
для поворота необходимо выбирать ровные участки местности и избегать поворотов машины на крутых подъемах, спусках и косогорах, что ограничивает возможности ее маневрирования;for turning, it is necessary to choose even sections of the terrain and avoid turning the car on steep climbs, descents and slopes, which limits the possibilities for maneuvering it;
Все это увеличивает время на совершение поворота, снижает эффективность их исполнения, что особенно существенно для боевых гусеничных машин.it is not recommended to sharply turn the car when moving through swamps, ice, sand, loose soil and deep snow, as well as when overcoming a water barrier. Under these conditions, turn the machine in several steps. All this increases the time to complete the turn, reduces the efficiency of their execution, which is especially important for combat tracked vehicles.
It is known that the moment of resistance to rotation directly depends on the length of the supporting branch of the caterpillar contour. The longer it is, the greater the moment of resistance to rotation. And at its specific values, turning becomes generally impossible (see, for example, V.F. Platonov, A.F. Belousov, etc. “Caterpillar conveyor tractors.” M., “Mechanical Engineering”, 1978, pp. 62-74 ) This limits the base and is one of the reasons for the performance of tracked vehicles, either with a trailer or articulated.
там же, с.65-72).A known method of controlling the rotation of a tracked articulated machine, adopted as a prototype of the proposed one, which consists in creating and applying to its front in the direction of the section a turning moment by changing the speed of one of the tracks of this section and turning the front section in the direction of rotation until they coincide a new direction of movement of the machine with a given (see ibid., p. 65-72).
This design of the tracked vehicle (articulated, with a trailer) allowed to significantly increase its total length (which increased its layout capabilities) with a relatively acceptable increase in the moment of resistance to rotation (due to the dismemberment of the tracked propulsion). However, cornering stability has decreased due to slippage of the running track and the rear lagging (especially if the tracks of the rear section do not have a power drive). At the same time, the smaller the turning radius and the heavier the road conditions, the greater the skid and skidding.
The aim of the present invention is to remedy these shortcomings and increase the controllability of this class of machines.
This goal is achieved by the fact that during the rotation, additionally in its plane, with the help of power hydraulic cylinders, create and apply torques to each section so that their direction on the first section coincides with the given direction of rotation, and on the back it would be opposite. Moreover, during the rotation, the inclination of the sections to each other in a longitudinal plane perpendicular to the rotation plane is increased inversely with the radius of rotation.
The introduction of new significant features provides increased controllability of tracked vehicles by increasing their agility and stability during movement.
Implementation of the proposed method is as follows. When a tracked vehicle moves on flat terrain or on roads where it is possible to move with high speeds and large turning radii, turning control is performed in the traditional way, based on reducing the speed of one of the tracks. Such control is well studied in the practice of operation, does not cause tension among staff, does not lead to deterioration of the coupling properties of the caterpillar mover.
When a tracked vehicle moves over rough terrain, on broken roads, on weak soils, when making a turn, they first create and apply a turning moment to its front section of the section by changing the speed of one of the tracks in this section (by reducing the speed of the track from the side of rotation ) until the new direction of movement of the machine coincides with the specified one. Moreover, if the soil resistance during the rotation increases sharply, then in the plane of rotation with the help of hydraulic cylinders create and apply torques to each section in such a way that their direction on the first section coincides with the given direction of rotation, and on the back it would be opposite. In addition, in the longitudinal plane perpendicular to the plane of rotation, the inclination of the sections to each other is increased inversely with the radius of rotation.
Creating additional turning points relative to the front and rear sections using power hydraulic cylinders, increasing the resulting moment, does not change the ratio of the speeds of lagging and running tracks (which occurs with the traditional method of turning control), and therefore practically does not affect the coupling conditions, which helps to maintain stability when turning. Another feature of the impact of additional moments, which is that on the front section they coincide with the direction of rotation, but not on the back, it leads to the fact that the direction of deviation of the first section coincides with the direction of rotation, and the second is the opposite. That is, both sections deviate from the longitudinal axis of the machine in opposite directions, which accelerates the process of turning and reduces its radius. An increase in the slope of the sections to each other in this case further reduces the radius of rotation of the tracked vehicle and at the same time reduces the resistance to rotation from the ground by reducing the supporting surface of the tracks.
To increase the likelihood of overcoming difficult terrain, it is recommended to minimize maneuvering (see, for example, V.F. Platonov, A.F. Belousov, etc. “Caterpillar conveyor tractors.” M., “Mechanical Engineering”, 1978, p. 62-74), since maneuvering on heavy soils leads to loss of patency of the tracked vehicle due to an increase in resistance to movement in a bend. In general, it is recommended to overcome marshy and difficult terrain in lower gears (second or third). When moving through a swampy area, it is necessary to maintain a constant engine speed and rewind the tracks of the tracks so as not to disrupt the surface layer of the soil (marsh cover, meadows) by the tracks under the action of dynamic loads. In these cases, using the proposed control method, maneuvering can be carried out without changing the constancy of the speed of the tracks, due to applying to both sections of the machine only the moments created by the power hydraulic cylinders.
The application of the proposed method for controlling the rotation of a tracked vehicle allows to significantly improve and expand its maneuverable capabilities by increasing its agility and stability.
The limiting value of the turning moment also increases without deteriorating the adhesion conditions of the track to the ground and it is possible to rotate the tracked vehicle without the participation of the tracked mover and its drive.
10-12%.Preliminary calculations show that the temporal characteristics and patency of tracked vehicles using the proposed method are increased by 10-12%.
