Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of rocket technology and can be used in the design and development of solid propellant rocket engines (solid propellant rocket engines) and their auxiliary charges, in particular for rocket projectiles rotating in flight with engines having nozzles recessed inside the combustion chamber.
Similar engine designs (with recessed nozzles) are used in rockets fired from a launch tube or barrel of an artillery gun when the engine itself is located, usually in the middle or front of the projectile. The system of such a start (start) also requires “removing” the nozzle (consumable) block, which is usually performed in this case with two nozzles.
The specified layout of the projectile is used in relation to marching, booster or booster-marching engines of small-sized tactical missiles. As charges of solid rocket fuel, they use both armored and unarmored solid propellant checkers. For stable stabilization of small-sized missiles provide rotation (spin) them on the trajectory.
The presence of rotation negatively affects the operability of both types of charges: turning an unarmored all-round checker on the walls of the combustion chamber can lead to the extinction of fuel, and turning an armored charge can lead to depressurization of the stagnant zone, to the destruction of the remaining bronchial cover for end-combustion charges, which leads to to impaired engine performance and increased smoke emission, which negatively affects the reliability of guided missiles guidance.
The disadvantage of such engines is the reduced volumetric coefficient of filling the combustion chamber with fuel. Due to the presence of nozzle bosses (2) recessed into the combustion chamber (1), the charge (3) is cylindrically shaped (Fig. 1).
Analogues of the patented charge design are given in the source: Shapiro, Y. M. et al., M., 1966, p. 42, 43, Fig. 2.1, 2.4. The prototype of the proposed technical solution, the authors chose the design of the charge shown in Fig. 2.3, p. 43 of the indicated source.
An object of the invention is the creation of a design for the solid fuel charge with increased reliability, improved layout capabilities and output characteristics.
This problem is solved by performing in the nozzle part of the solid fuel input charge of a rotating rocket engine with nozzle bosses recessed into the combustion chamber and responding to nozzle bosses, grooves. Response grooves are performed in the nozzle part of the charge from the side of its outer surface, the groove profile is equidistant in longitudinal and cross sections with nozzle bosses recessed into the combustion chamber, which allow fixing the charge in the engine chamber (excluding its rotation) and at the same time increase the mass of the charge without changing its dimensions.
1) выполнение со стороны наружной поверхности заряда пазов (ответных к сопловым бобышкам);
Distinctive features of the prototype features of the claimed charge design are:
1) execution from the side of the outer surface of the charge of the grooves (response to the nozzle bosses);
2) groove profile equidistantly coupled to the nozzle boss profile (in longitudinal and transverse sections).
Patented design is illustrated by the following graphic materials.

Achievable technical result of the invention: limiting charge rotation relative to the combustion chamber of the engine, increasing the reliability of its operation; Improving engine weight excellence through a more optimal layout.
The technical and economic efficiency of the proposed technical solution is characterized (in addition to increasing reliability) by an increase in the total thrust impulse (without increasing the dimensions of the charge), or by a decrease in the dimensions and mass of the engine at a given level of energy characteristics.
The table shows comparative data on the increase in the total thrust impulse for solid propellant rocket motors with nozzle bosses recessed into the caliber of the projectile. The assessment was carried out in relation to typical use cases of charges in small-sized missile systems.
As follows from the above data, it is most effective to use the proposed design on small elongation charges.
