Abstract
Description
The invention relates to electrical engineering and is intended to control the insulation resistance and protect the DC network, under voltage, from earth faults at one point.
There is a method of protecting a DC network from earth faults at one point, which consists in connecting to the poles of the DC network through the same additional resistance a reactive organ formed by a measuring device and a current signal relay [1], through which, in case of inequality of insulation resistance the poles of the DC network relative to the ground current flows, measure its value and compare with the maximum permissible. If the current through the reacting organ exceeds the permissible value, then a warning signal or a control signal is generated to turn off the DC network or replace it with a reserve one. To assess the decrease in the insulation resistance of the poles, a signal relay is pre-shunted, and then the current is measured in the diagonal of the bridge with a broken shoulder with one of the additional resistances. This method does not allow to obtain high control accuracy, since it is insensitive to a symmetrical decrease in the insulation resistances of the poles, and when used to protect the generator excitation circuits, it has a dead zone when damage occurs in the middle part of the rotor circuits. The method does not allow continuous monitoring of the insulation resistance of the poles.
R1 и R2 - активные сопротивления изоляции соответственно отрицательного и положительного полюсов сети относительно земли;
U1 +, U1 - - усредненные напряжения соответственно положительного и отрицательного полюсов при шунтировании положительного полюса сети добавочным сопротивлением Rш;
The closest technical solution, selected as a prototype, is a method for determining the equivalent insulation resistance of a direct current circuit [2], in which, periodically and alternately, using a high-voltage switch based on electronic keys, an additional resistance of a certain pole value of a controlled circuit is shunted and voltage is measured at each the pole of the network in steady state, average the measured voltages and calculate the equivalent insulation resistance of the network constantly th current according to the formula:
Where
R 1 and R 2 - insulation resistance, respectively, of the negative and positive poles of the network relative to the ground;
U 1 + , U 1 - are the average voltages of the positive and negative poles, respectively, when the positive pole of the network is shunted by the additional resistance R w ;
U 2 + , U 2 - - the average voltage of the poles during shunting by the additional resistance R w of the negative pole of the network.
The known method has disadvantages. When using it, the speed and accuracy characteristics of the device depend on the duration of transient processes in the controlled circuit that occur during operation of the switch, and on the time interval between voltage measurements in various network operation modes due to periodic connection of R w to its poles. A significant disadvantage of the prototype is the need for high-voltage semiconductor switches, which are subject to increased requirements for permissible voltages, which complicates and increases the cost of the circuit, reduces its reliability. The method does not allow to identify a damaged network element.
The present invention improves the speed and reliability of the control and protection system, the accuracy characteristics of the method as a whole and expand the functionality for finding a damaged element.
This is achieved by the fact that in the claimed method, an additional rectangular voltage source is connected to the poles of the DC network through the same additional resistance, the steady-state values of the voltage of the network poles relative to the ground and the current are measured in the branches of the additional source in the first and second half-periods of its operation, they determine the equivalent insulation resistance of the poles relative to the ground in accordance with the formulas given in the description of the operation of the device for implementing the proposed method a, they form an information signal displaying the state of isolation, at the same time compare the obtained value with an acceptable one and, if it turns out to be less than an acceptable one, then generate a warning or control signal to turn off the network or replace its backup one; additionally, by the measured values, the insulation resistance of each network pole is found from the expressions presented in the description of the device operation, an element with weakened insulation is determined, and an information signal about the damaged element is generated.
A comparative analysis of technical solutions showed that the claimed method differs from the known one in that the additional resistances connected to the poles comprise 2 arms of the formed bridge circuit, the other two arms constitute controlled insulation resistances of the poles, the mains voltage is applied to one diagonal, and an additional voltage is included in the other rectangular voltage source. Due to this, a switching device is not required to create different network operation modes and therefore there is no need for high-voltage semiconductor switches, which leads to cheaper and simpler circuits, increases its reliability, accelerates the control process.
где Rд - добавочное сопротивление, вводимое в схему по условиям измерений;
In addition, the increase in performance is ensured by the fact that the use of a new circuit solution of the device leads to a decrease in the time constant of the T system by half compared with the prototype:
where R d is the additional resistance introduced into the circuit according to the measurement conditions;
C eq is the equivalent capacitance of the excitation circuits relative to the ground, with C ek = C 1 + C 2 , where C 1 and C 2 are the capacitance of the negative and positive poles of the network relative to the ground. The value of the time constant for the prototype circuit:
This, in turn, can significantly reduce the duration of the measurement cycle. So, for example, taking the time interval between measurements equal to three time constants of the transient processes at which the necessary accuracy characteristics are most often provided, the duration of the measurement cycle for the prototype can be determined as follows: t c.ism. = 2 • 3T ≈ 6 • R d With eq . In the inventive method, when choosing the same R d it takes half the time to get enough information to calculate the unknown equivalent insulation resistance: t c.iz.pr. = 2 • 3T ≈ 3 • R d With eq .
The ability to calculate the insulation resistance separately of each pole of the controlled circuit provides the ability to identify a damaged network element, which is devoid of the known solution.

An additional rectangular voltage source provides a special form of voltage relative to the earth at the poles of the network to which it is connected (figure 2), and the current in the diagonal of the bridge. Using the indicated source in the simplest way provides the required change in the circuit parameters and, due to this, allows to obtain easily solvable systems of linearly independent equations connecting unknown parameters of circuit elements and electric quantities available for measurement.
The steady-state values of the voltage of the positive pole of the network in 1 and 2 half-periods of operation of the aforementioned source U 1 + and U 2 + are determined by the sum of the components due to the action of U with and U u :
where U u1 and U u2 - voltage of an additional voltage source of a rectangular shape in the first and second half-periods of its operation.
The steady-state values of the voltages of the negative pole of the network in 1 and 2 half-periods of operation of the aforementioned source U 1 - and U 2 - are determined by the difference in components due to the action of U с and U u :

Computing module 4 can be implemented both in analogue and digital versions using microprocessor means.
Using the frequency filter 5 of the computing module provide averaged values of the input quantities. This allows the device to be used in DC circuits characterized by a high level of harmonics in the voltage, for example, in thyristor excitation systems of generators.
In the sampling and storage blocks 6 and 7, the steady-state value of one of the half-periods is stored at time instants specified by the control signals generated by block 15. The time interval between the control pulses is selected depending on the required control accuracy. When choosing it equal to three time constants of transient processes caused by the overcharging of the capacitors available in the network equivalent circuit when switching the above source from one voltage level to another, the time interval between measurements: t meas. = t imp. = 3T ≈ 1.5 • R d With eq . Given that the measurement cycle consists of two stages, the required duration of the measurement cycle: t c.izm. = 2 • t meas. This is ensured by tuning an additional voltage source of a rectangular shape to a frequency inversely proportional to the duration of the measurement cycle: f = 1 / t c.ism. = 1/3 • R d With eq .
In block 8, the difference between the measured values is determined:
ΔU + = U
by which using block 9 calculate the equivalent insulation resistance of the poles of the network relative to the ground
in accordance with any of the expressions obtained from the above systems of equations:
The output signal of block 9 is supplied to indicator 11, with which the current value of the equivalent insulation resistance of the network is displayed, as well as to the input of the comparator 10, in which the insulation resistance is compared with the maximum permissible value of R ec.min . If the insulation resistance becomes less than acceptable, then the corresponding warning and control signals are generated.
Using block 12 calculate the insulation resistance relative to the earth of each pole of the network according to any of the following groups of equations, depending on the electrical quantity selected for measurements:
According to them, in block 13, a network element with weakened insulation is determined and an information signal about the damaged element is generated.
In order to simplify the circuit and increase its reliability when using a method for protection that does not require registration of insulation parameters (equivalent resistance), the voltage difference of one pole or another or the current difference obtained in block 8 is fed to one of the inputs of the comparator 14, in which its absolute value compare with acceptable. If the absolute value of the voltage difference of the poles | ΔU - | or | ΔU + | it turns out to be less than the permissible U extra or the absolute value of the current difference | ΔI | If it turns out to be more than I extra , then they generate a warning and control signal to turn off the network or replace its backup. U add and I add set based on the value of the minimum allowable equivalent insulation resistance of the network R ec.min in accordance with the following expressions:
The application of the proposed method of protection allows you to significantly expand the functionality of technical equipment that detects earth faults at one point in DC networks. This method makes it possible to continuously monitor the isolation of DC networks without dead zones and to determine the location of damage in the event of a defect. Shortening the measurement time increases the accuracy of the insulation control of the protected network. Thanks to these new properties, the duration of forced outages of the protected network for repair is reduced, the repair and maintenance costs are reduced, the reliability of the network as a whole is increased, and the likelihood of accidents with catastrophic consequences is reduced.
