Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a coating technique and can be used in mechanical engineering, metallurgy and other industries.
From the prior art, a method for producing amorphous coatings is known (see Quick-hardened metals, Collection of scientific works edited by B. Kantor, M. Metallurgy, 1983, pp. 245-247), which includes heating the starting material in vacuum to a melting point and deposition vapor of material on the cooled substrate.
The disadvantage of this method is that in its implementation it is necessary to use sophisticated equipment, as well as cryogenic coolants for cooling the substrate. In particular, upon receipt of coatings from iron, the temperature of the substrate should be below 4K, and in the case of cobalt 33K.
There is also known a method for producing amorphous coatings, taken as a prototype [1], comprising heating the starting material to a melting point, forming a directed two-phase high-temperature flow, and depositing the starting material on a rotating cooled substrate. The substrate is cooled both by rotation and by exposure to it or coating with liquid nitrogen, water, carbon dioxide, etc. The disadvantage of this method is that it does not provide the target product that does not contain inclusions of the crystalline phase.
The basis of the invention is the task to develop a method of amorphous coatings that provides the target product of the bases of inclusions of the crystalline phase, i.e. higher quality.
где sв(Tп) предел прочности кристаллического материала того же состава, что и материал покрытия, при температуре подложки Тп, н/м2;
ρ плотность кристаллического материала того же состава, что и материал покрытия, кг/м3;
The problem is solved in that in the method for producing amorphous coatings, including heating the starting material to a melting temperature and then depositing it on a rotating substrate, the deposition is carried out at a substrate rotation speed satisfying the inequality
where s in (T p ) the tensile strength of a crystalline material of the same composition as the coating material, at a substrate temperature T p , n / m 2 ;
ρ density of crystalline material of the same composition as the coating material, kg / m 3 ;
R is the minimum distance from the axis of rotation to the coating, m
The advantage of the proposed method lies in the fact that local inclusions of the crystalline phase formed during the cooling of the starting material are destroyed in the field of existing tensile stresses, which improves the quality of the target product. In addition, the hardening of the coating material in the field of existing tensile stresses allows to increase the substrate temperature by 10-15%, which reduces the consumption of refrigerant in the process of obtaining amorphous coatings.
Figure 1 shows a device for implementing the proposed method with a substrate made in the form of a disk; figure 2 is the same, but with a substrate made in the form of a cylinder.
A device for implementing the method comprises a source 1 of sprayed material and a rotating substrate, made either in the form of a disk 2, or in the form of a cylinder 3 (figure 2).
The method of obtaining amorphous coatings is as follows.
The material applied to the
During the coating process, the temperature of the substrate rises, which has a significant effect not only on the structure formation of the material growing on the hardened amorphized layer, but also on the structure of the previously grown layer. Upon receipt of amorphous coatings, a prerequisite is to reduce the heating of the substrate and the hardened amorphized layer. For this purpose, rotating substrates are used, which are additionally cooled by liquid or gaseous refrigerant. According to the proposed method, an additional condition is imposed on the rotation speed of the cooled substrate
In this case, the hardened amorphized layer will constantly be in the field of tensile stresses, the value of which will exceed the tensile strength s in (T p ) of a crystalline material of the same composition at a temperature equal to the substrate temperature (T p ). The application of a field of tensile stresses prevents the decay of the amorphous structure when local conditions (for example, in the case of local overheating) arise for crystallization. On the other hand, the application of a field of tensile stresses on the hardening layers of the coating has a braking effect on the crystallization process due to a change in the diffusion mobility of atoms.
