The invention relates to a device for generating electrical energy by converting on the electrodes of chemical energy of hydrocarbon fuel directly into electrical energy, followed by recovery (regeneration) of fractions of hydrocarbon fuel. The invention can be used in the energy and chemical industries, in transport, in devices using liquid or gaseous hydrocarbon fuel.
Known magnetohydrodynamic generator of electrical energy (Balyan S. Century. Technical thermodynamics and heat engines. 1978), in which the flow of ionized gas passes through a strong magnetic field and is induced into an electric current.
A device is known (ed. St. N 121159) a solid electrolyte fuel cell in the form of a block with through channels filled with electrode mass and metal electrodes. The reagent is fed into the channels: hydrocarbon fuel fractions and oxygen oxidizer. As a result of the electrochemical oxidation reaction, direct current is induced in the external circuit.
A fuel cell is known (USA Journal of Popular Science, 1990), in which countercurrent flows of reagents (fuel and air) move in the channels of the electrodes. The channels are separated by a zirconium solid electrolyte, and their rows are a contact layer. Reagents enter into a redox reaction, as a result of which an electric current is generated in the external circuit.
Known bipolar fuel cell (US patent And 4855193), which contains a catalytic anode and a cathode in contact with the opposite surface of the ion-conducting membrane; moisture resistant carbon paper and a bipolar separator forming an oxidizer flow field.
A well-known block of fuel cells with a solid ion-conducting electrolyte containing anode and cathode chambers with gel-shaped electrodes (US patent N 4476196, 1984; N 4997727, 1991), offset by 90 o each other, while the block is placed in a housing with nozzles and collector chambers for supply and removal of reagents.
Closest to the proposed device according to the technical solution is a fuel cell block (US patent N 4839247, 1989), containing a stack of fuel cells with a solid ion-conducting electrolyte and an electrode block of elements for the regeneration of reaction products leaving the fuel cell block.
The disadvantage of this device is the rapid oxidation and burning of the electrodes due to the overflow of reagents (fuel, and air) from the chambers and their ignition, as well as the low efficiency of the device.
The aim of the invention is to increase the efficiency and reliability of the fuel cell block.
The goal is achieved by the fact that the electrode block contains alternating modules of the fuel cell and electrodialyzer for the regeneration of gases separated by gaskets. The anode and cathode chambers of the fuel and regenerative module are formed by inserted into each other and fastened gutter-shaped catalytic, perforated electrode and an ion-conducting membrane based on solid electrolyte.
In this case, the cathode chamber of the electrodialysis module is provided with a catalytic cathode and a cation exchange membrane, and the anode chamber of the module contains an anion exchange membrane and a catalytic anode.
The prefabricated anode and cathode chambers of each module, assembled on an adhesive in a bag, form a sealed, flowing, cellular structure installed in a housing with nozzles and collector chambers for supplying and discharging reagents.
In the cathode chambers of the electrodialysis module, in the process of electrochemical synthesis, a gas with an increased concentration of carbon and hydrogen is restored, the feed of which is the reaction product (flue gas), coming directly from the fuel cell chambers, and, additionally, during the diffusion of cations of hydrocarbon fractions from the anode chambers of the regenerative module . With an increase in the amount of recovered hydrocarbon gas, the fuel consumption in the regenerative electrode unit will decrease, and the efficiency will increase.

The electrodialyzer module is packaged by
The electronic unit operates as follows.

Pre-heated, gaseous fractions of hydrocarbon fuel are supplied through the

The chemical reaction of a combination of two atoms or molecules is accompanied by a transition of electrons from one particle to another, as a result of which ionized oxygen passes into molecular oxygen, consuming current from an external circuit. The reaction proceeds with the removal of heat. From the electrodialyzer chambers, reformed gas and oxygen enter the anode and cathode chambers of the next module of the fuel generator, in which the process is repeated. In the electrode block, in the alternating modules of the fuel generator and the electrodialyzer with solid electrolyte absorbed, the hydrocarbon gas passes into the ionic state, which is the source of the emf with the subsequent restoration of the regeneration of the products of combustion of hydrocarbon fuel. This opens up the possibility of operating the fuel generator in a closed cycle to stabilize the temperature regime and increase the reliability of the device.
At the same time, specific fuel consumption will decrease, generator efficiency will increase, and toxic emissions of fuel combustion products into the environment will be significantly reduced.
