Abstract
Description
The invention relates to optical methods for controlling liquid media and can be used to control the purification process of technical ascorbic acid.
Однако этот способ не позволяет точно определить цветность партии кислоты (300-600 кг).A known method of measuring the purity (color) of technical ascorbic acid, which consists in sampling crystals, preparing an aqueous solution and determining the optical density of the solution [1]
However, this method does not allow to accurately determine the color of the batch of acid (300-600 kg).
Closest to the invention is a method for determining the optical density directly in the analyzed mass [2]
However, ascorbic acid has a temperature dependence of solubility; therefore, the value of light transmitted through a medium depends on the temperature of the medium.
According to the proposed method, the optical density of a solution of technical ascorbic acid is determined in the analyzed mass at the time of complete dissolution. To do this, measure the total luminous flux passing through the medium and scattered by the medium. The moment of complete dissolution is characterized by the extreme value of the total luminous flux. The amount of coal needed for cleaning is determined by the steady state optical density after the onset of the extremum. Performing these operations in the indicated sequence allows to increase the accuracy of determining the purity (color) of technical ascorbic acid and the required amount of activated carbon, allows to increase the yield and improve the quality of medical ascorbic acid.
Figure 1 shows a device that implements the proposed method; figure 2 shows graphs of the dependence of the current of the photodetector on the temperature of the scattering ability of a solution of ascorbic acid (curve I), the light flux passing through the medium (curve II), the total light flux (curve III).
The device operates as follows.
Ascorbic acid crystals and water are charged into a reactor and heated. As the temperature increases, ascorbic acid dissolves, the luminous flux of reflection (curve I, figure 2) decreases, and the luminous flux passing through the medium (curve II, figure 2) increases. There comes a characteristic moment when a ray of light from a source passes through a controlled medium and, reflected from a
