Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the manufacture of glass products, in particular the production of colored glass cladding tiles from waste glass or cullet.
A known method of producing decorative glassware by applying a pattern of a suspension of powders of fusible glasses, the softening temperature of which is lower than the softening temperature of products no more than 150 about C, containing at least 80% of particles with a size of 1-3 microns, and heat treatment is carried out at a temperature of 30- 100 о С higher than the softening temperature of glassware [1]
The disadvantage of this method is as follows: the selectivity of the glass according to softening temperature is required, compliance with the percentage composition of the powder and particle sizes in the range of 1-3 microns.
Closest to the proposed is a method for producing cladding glassware from glass waste, including filling out a mold for the manufacture of glassware with a layer of sand up to 2 mm thick and a layer of glass, followed by fusion of the components of the glassware [2]
The disadvantage of this method is the complexity of the manufacturing technology.
The invention consists in the following. A binder with a solution, in particular building sand, is poured into the prepared mold for glassware to a thickness of up to 2 mm. A layer of 2-10 mm of any glass with an average glass particle size of 0.1-1 mm is applied on top of the sand. This layer is necessary for capture in the process of glass melting particles of a binder material. A pattern of any glass with an average particle size of 2-10 mm is applied to the surface of the glass layer. The coating thickness of the pattern is equal to the average particle size of this layer. Reflow is carried out at a temperature not lower than the softening temperature of the glass of the lower layer by supplying heat only to the surface of the picture and the sand layer.
Under these conditions, first the glass particles of the lower layer melt together with the simultaneous capture of particles of a binder material, in particular sand, and then the pattern layer melts, which ensures good light scattering of the glass product. Reflow time 20-90 min.
The method is applicable for any composition of glass, which excludes compliance with the requirements for glass consistency according to KLTR. This is due to the fact that one glass composition is used as the lower layer.
As a starting material, glass cullet or glass waste is used, which allows us to solve the problem of recycling glass mass.
When the thickness of the binder layer is less than 1 mm, during the fusion of glassware, the glass particles of the upper layer completely capture the binder particles, forming a glass surface on the bottom of the mold, which is not suitable for adhesion to the cementitious mortar.
When the thickness of the binder layer of the material is more than 2 mm, regardless of the parameters of the glass layer and the pattern during glass fusion, its penetration into the depth of the layer of binder material is not more than 1.5 mm. Therefore, an increase in the layer of a binder material only leads to an overexpenditure of this material and an increase in the cost of glassware.
The table shows the effect of changes in cooking conditions on the quality of glass products.
