Abstract
Description
The invention relates to mining, namely, to ensure the stability of the sides of quarries. During deformation, clay rocks in both the working and non-working sides of the quarry are significantly moistened, which gives the landslide the character of a plastic body. Most of the most dangerous stability disturbances occur in slopes composed of clay rocks, since these rocks are characterized by relatively low strength and a significant decrease in strength indicators when moistened and by weathering.
Known methods and methods for strengthening the slopes of the sides of quarries, for example, mechanical, insulating, protective coatings, hardening, as well as combined.
[1]. Closest to the proposed method is a method of hardening the rock mass around the mine, including drilling holes, introducing tubular anchors and a fixing solution into them, injecting the latter into the cracks in the walls of the holes while expanding the tubular anchors into them by blasting the explosive charge in the cavity of each anchor [1 ].
The known methods do not take into account the full increase in the stability of quarry slopes by increasing the contact strength of clay rocks with other rocks, which deform. During deformation inside the landslide, there are no significant forces of interconnection between rock particles. Therefore, the movement of a landslide using existing methods can only be stopped by structures that create drag. In addition, creeping rocks are usually significantly moistened, which gives the landslide the character of a plastic body. In addition, these methods have a specific scope and their effectiveness in some cases is not economically viable.
The aim of the invention is to increase the stability and reliability of slopes of quarries with clay layers.
This is achieved by forming cracks in clayey rocks before injection of a fixing solution into them by blasting explosive charges, and a chemical solution is used as a fixing solution.
In a number of explored and exploited deposits, the main volume of workings is carried out in highly fractured, unstable, loose and clay rocks with difficult mining and geological conditions. Sometimes the situation is further aggravated by the fact that in some gently declining deposits clay layers are found between the ore mass and gangue, therefore in such cases the management of ledges and sides of quarries becomes the most labor-intensive process.
Increasing the strength of the media provides, as you know, a significant reduction in their deformation. In this regard, there is a need to increase the strength of the media. In order to increase the strength of clay rocks, a liquid solution was used based on liquid glass with the addition of surfactants (sulfanol) and oxalic acid in the following ratios: liquid glass 98%, oxalic acid 1.5% and surfactant 0.5% (ed. St. USSR N 1553708). It was found that exposure to clay rocks with this solution ensures rock stability due to an increase in adhesion by 7 times, a decrease in the angle of internal friction and plasticity number by 5 and 10 times, respectively, which allows for a targeted change in physical properties uniformly within the treated area, allowing to provide the necessary value of the safety factor of the side of the quarry.
To pump a chemical solution into a clay formation, explosive hydraulic fracturing is proposed, i.e. injection of a chemical solution into the array under the action of high instantaneous pressure, which is achieved during the explosion. In this case, hydraulic fracturing is used to increase the absorption capacity (injectivity) of injection wells. This is due to the creation of horizontal or vertical fractures in the formation that are rationally diverging from the wells. The formation of cracks in the reservoir occurs as a result of the high hydraulic pressure of the fluid pumped into the well. In this case, for hydraulic fracturing of a clay layer, it is necessary to create hydraulic pressure far exceeding the burst pressure gradient. This fact excludes the possibility of using a pumping unit for hydraulic fracturing. Due to the comparatively shallow occurrence of the clay layer (8-35 m), a “liquid griffin” occurs during the injection of the solution.
Figure 1 shows a schematic diagram of the implementation of explosive hydraulic fracturing; figure 2 is a diagram of the "griffin fluid".
5. The explosive hydraulic fracturing execution scheme has: insulating material 1,
To achieve hydraulic fracturing, a standard cartridge explosive (ammonite N 6 LH) with a total weight of 1 kg is used. It is clear that the penetration radius of the solution is directly proportional to the amount of fluid in the well. After the explosion, most of the energy of the blast wave is spent on hydraulic fracturing. The rest of the energy is directed to the wellhead, which is hermetically sealed with insulating material. The blast wave, striking against the insulating material, changes direction and secondarily pumps the solution into the clay layer until the blast wave attenuates. Further injection of the solution is carried out by pumps of the central nervous system 180-950. The distance between the wells is determined experimentally from the condition of minimum specific labor costs for hardening rocks. Injection is recommended to be performed simultaneously in three to four wells. This contributes to a more uniform direction of the array with the solution.
An industrial test of the method we developed to increase the stability of slopes of clayey rocks of quarries, based on the directional change in the physical properties of the massif due to the effect of a strengthening solution by injecting it into a loosened, explosive formation through wells, showed its high efficiency for preventing landslide phenomena in quarries.
