Способ профилактики лучевых повреждений слезоотводящих путей, включающий лекарственное или механическое воздействие, отличающийся тем, что дважды в день: перед каждым сеансом лучевой терапии и через 10-12 ч после сеанса, после поверхностной анестезии глаза, осуществляют промывание слезно-носового канала: в нижнюю носовую точку через тупоконечную канюлю, надетую на шприц, под давлением, вводят в слезно-носовой канал раствор, содержащий не менее 2,0 мл 0,1%-ного дексаметазона и 5 мг метотрексата, затем жидкость свободно вытекает из соответствующей ноздри.
