Способ биохимической очистки сточных вод в присутствии активного ила, часть которого обработана ультразвуком, включающий аэробное биоокисление загрязнителей сточных вод в аэротенке с последующим отстаиванием иловой суспензии в отстойнике, отводом очищенной воды из очистных сооружений, возвратом циркулирующего активного ила в аэротенк, отличающийся тем, что перед поступлением в аэротенк в сточные воды, находящиеся в первичном отстойнике, непрерывно подают смесь аэробно-стабилизированного и обработанного ультразвуком избыточного активного ила, причем дозу и соотношение компонентов смеси и режим обработки избыточного активного ила выбирают, исходя из условия максимально возможного повышения ферментативной активности промышленного ила.1.
