Abstract
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION: the method is characterized by separately preparing rubber compounds based on ethylene-propylene rubber for a weather-resistant layer and butyl rubber for a self-adhesive layer. Layer calendering is carried out with the release of a layered material which is processed from the side of the butyl rubber layer by a beam of accelerated electrons. The butyl rubber layer is degraded to give adhesive properties, and then this layer is coated with release material. The ethylene propylene rubber layer is cured. Reinforcing material may be introduced between the layers during calendaring. 1 C.p. f-crystals, 3 ill., 2 tab.
Description
The invention relates to methods for the manufacture of roofing and waterproofing materials, and is intended for use in the building materials industry and other industries.
An object of the invention is to simplify the process by providing self-adhesive roofing material.
In FIG. 1 schematically depicts a production line for implementing the method; in FIG. 2 is an embodiment using a dual screw extruder; in FIG. 3 - section of the roofing material.
As an example, a manufacturing process of a laminated roll roofing material is considered, which is carried out as follows. The rubber mixture for a weatherproof surface layer is prepared either in a batch mixer or batch continuous
действи , либо на смесительных вальцах (не показаны) и после завершени процесса смешени передают на листовально-пита- тельные вальцы 1, откуда смесь подаетс в нижний зазор 4-х валкового каландра 2 (фиг.1) или в сдвоенный черв чный экстру- дер 3 с валковой головкой 4 (фиг.2)either on the mixing rollers (not shown) and after the mixing process is completed, they are transferred to the food-and-feed rollers 1, from where the mixture is fed to the lower gap of the 4-roll calender 2 (Fig. 1) or to the double screw extruder 3 with a roll head 4 (figure 2)
The manufacture of an additional self-adhesive layer from a rubber mixture based on butyl rubber takes place on similar equipment.
A distinctive feature of the technological process is the attachment of equipment to each type of mixture, i.e. the possibility of transferring equipment from the manufacture of one mixture to another should be completely excluded, since this can lead to the ingress of a mixture based on ethylene propylene rubber and a mixture based on butyl rubber and vice versa. In the first case, when the beam is accelerated

ных электронов будет иметь место по вление в самокле щем слое включений вулканизованной резины, во втором случае в атмосферостойком слое будут пузыри не- вулканиэованной резины, возникшие вследствие деструкции смеси на основе-бу- тилкаучука.of electrons will appear in the self-adhesive layer of the inclusions of vulcanized rubber, in the second case in the weather-resistant layer there will be bubbles of unvulcanized rubber, arising from the destruction of the butyl rubber mixture.
6.When using a 4-roll calender, duplication of heterogeneous rubber layers occurs in the gap between the middle rolls. Duplicated rubber layers of the roofing material 5 through the feed roll system 6 enter the vulcanization zone where, under the action of the accelerated electron beam, simultaneously with the vulcanization of the weather-resistant layer, the butyl rubber-based layer is degraded to form a self-adhesive layer. The self-adhesive layer is located above the surface layer 8 (Fig. 3) to prevent sticking to the rolls 6.
After processing the roofing material when exposed to the accelerator 9 by means of guide rollers 10, the roofing material is removed from the accelerated-electron impact zone and fed with a self-adhesive layer to coating it with release material 11, which prevents the roofing material from sticking when wound into coils 12. Electron accelerator 9 is housed in concrete biological shielding 13, but may be provided with local biological shielding.
15.In the manufacture of laminated roll roofing material 5 with reinforcing material 14, the latter is introduced by calendering between the surface 8 and the self-adhesive layers. In the continuous process of manufacturing the roofing material, a loop compensator 15 is provided in the line to level out the possible difference in calendering and vulcanization performance.
Example. The rubber mixture based on SKEPT was fabricated on an RSVD-260/30 rubber mixer, followed by leafing at a sheet thickness of 812 mm. After cooling, the mixtures were stored for no more than 30 days.
