Description
The proposed utility model relates to shipbuilding, namely to transport complexes intended for use in the aquatic environment and consisting of non-self-propelled vessels and pusher tugs. The inventive ship composition was developed by specialists of the St. Petersburg State University of Water Communications to ensure the transportation of all types of hydrocarbons along the Northern Sea Route. The device can be used to transport heavy barges in ice conditions.
The idea of creating transport trains for river and sea routes, which appeared in the middle of the last century, was caused by the irrational use of expensive power plants in conditions of long downtime of ships in ports or in cargo operations at sea. According to the results of numerous feasibility studies, priority was given to pushed transport trains.
However, the development of sea and ocean transportation of goods using pushed convoys was held back for a long time due to the lack of a sufficiently reliable coupling device for the pusher and non-self-propelled vessel. As the data of a comparative assessment of the test results of models of pushed convoys of river and sea navigation showed, the latter have specific features (in terms of the ratio of the main dimensions, the carrying capacity, draft, the interaction of the pusher and the barge when sailing on a wave, etc.) and require improvement and refinement of the coupling devices in relation to this type of pushed convoys.
To date, many designs of pushed convoys for the aquatic environment have been patented with the corresponding coupling joints of the pusher and barge. Among them, the most reliable and promising are pushed transport vehicles with rigid (US Pat. RU No. 2150405, publ. 12.03.1999) and limited-mobility (US Pat. RU No. 2401762, publ. 20.10.2010) coupling devices. The disadvantage of the latter is the inability to use in conditions of strong excitement, as well as in ice conditions.
One of the closest analogues of the proposed device for technical essence and purpose is a transport complex for the aquatic environment according to US Pat. RU No. 2150405 IPC V63V 21/56 (2006.01), publ. 10/20/2010. The specified device includes a tug and a barge connected to each other. A riser is fixed on the barge, which is located between the center of mass of the barge and its bow. The barge is connected to the tug by means of a bar, which is fixedly mounted on the tug located behind the barge by one end and movably in the angular direction on the barge riser at the other end. The barge is equipped with protrusions on the aft parts of the sides, which are connected by cables with guided winches mounted on the bow of the tug. The advantage of the prototype is a fairly high speed and maneuverability of the complex. However, it can only be used for the transport of goods by barges on inland waterways and is not applicable for use in ice conditions when transporting heavy non-self-propelled vessels.
The inventive device allows to obtain a new technical result compared to the prototype, which consists in the possibility of using the transport complex in ice conditions when transporting heavy non-self-propelled vessels.
To achieve the technical result, the following set of essential features is used: in a transport complex for the aquatic environment (consisting, like the prototype, of a non-self-propelled vessel and a pusher tug connected by a rigid coupling device, unlike the prototype, an atomic pusher is used an icebreaker, such as “Arctic”, and as a coupling device - a three-pin automatic coupler with gear clutch, while the barge has bow-shaped ice rims and is equipped with a recess in the aft end for fixing the bow of the icebreaker.
The essence of the proposed solution is to obtain a rigidly connected barge-towing pair, which has the properties of a single-hull large-capacity vessel with high ice permeability, energy autonomy and resistance to strong waves, which allows the complex to be used in the Far North when transporting large loads. A comparison of the proposed device and the prototype showed that the task is solved as a result of a new set of features, which proves the conformity of the proposed utility model with the criterion of "novelty."
Figure 1 is a schematic representation of the proposed transport complex. The complex includes: a heavy oil or LNG carrier gas barge 1, with a carrying capacity of at least 100 thousand tons, a pusher - an atomic icebreaker 2, of the Arctic type, which has a large propulsive power (54 MW), a hitch in the form of a rigid three-pin design (not shown in Fig.). As a coupling device, a Triofix series automatic coupler manufactured by the Japanese company Taisei Engineering can be used. A coupling device of this series consists of two side and one front blocks mounted on an icebreaker structure under its superstructure. The barge has bow contours of icebreaking type 3 and is equipped with recess 4 in the aft end for fixing the bow of the icebreaker
The inventive device operates as follows.
After loading the barge, the pusher icebreaker 2 enters the recess 4 of the barge 1 as a bow. The connecting pin, resting on the main bearing of each of the two lateral blocks of the coupler mounted on the hull of the pusher (icebreaker), is extended by the hydraulic cylinder mounted in the pin so that the tooth a headgear mounted on the spherical head of the pin entered any of the hollows of the teeth made on the rear wall of the receiving socket under the pin on the barge. At the same time, the front flat end face of the headgear comes into tight contact with the front wall of the receiving socket, creating a hitch between the pusher vessel 2 and the barge 1. Then, the connecting pin resting on the main bearing of the front automatic coupler unit is extended by the hydraulic cylinder mounted in the pin so that the tip is on the outer end the pin engages with the teeth of the rail mounted on the hull of the barge along its longitudinal axis, thus providing a rigid mechanical connection between the barge 1 and the icebreaker 2. After completion radio barges with clutch tug complex to be a destination where the composition is made separation and unloading barges.
The possibility of using the proposed solution for the transportation of hydrocarbons along the Northern Sea Route was confirmed by calculations of the movement of the composition in autumn-winter navigation under ice conditions corresponding to the overview maps of ice conditions in the Northern Sea Route zone for 2011-2012. The calculations performed according to the Rules of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping showed that the complex can be advanced without calling at the port for 15 days along the ice field with a thickness of 1.8 to 2.1 m with a speed of 8-10 knots when transporting goods weighing up to 100 thousand tons and above.
