Z publikacji nr JP5068753A japońskiego zgłoszenia patentowego znane jest urządzenie edukacyjne dla dzieci w wieku przedszkolnym, które na płycie czołowej korpusu ma elementy sygnalizacyjne i gniazda z elementami kontaktowymi, które połączone są z wewnętrznym układem elektrycznym. W drugiej postaci urządzenia edukacyjnego (fig. 5, 6, 7, 3a) korpus 1 zawiera gniazdo wyniku działania 8 oraz oddzielne gniazda 24 i 25 dla każdego składnika działania arytmetycznego, które symbolizują napisy 12 znajdujące się na klockach 26 i 27. Elementy świetlne, takie jak lampki 28, 29 i 16 są osadzone w korpusie 1 odpowiednio nad gniazdami 24, 28 i 8. Na korpusie 1, pomiędzy gniazdami 24 i 25, znajduje się występ 21, na którego górnej powierzchni znajduje się znak działania arytmetycznego, na przykład znak dodawania. Znak ten znajduje się w przybliżeniu na tej samej wysokości co napisy 12 na klockach 26 i 27, gdy te ostatnie znajdują się w gniazdach 24 i 25.
