Abstract

A scooter assembly line is provided, comprising a plurality of stations and a plurality of movable assembly benches. Each of the movable assembly benches being movable between different stations, a movable assembly bench positioning mechanism being provided on the floor of each of the stations, each of the movable assembly benches comprises a framework, a lifting mechanism having tooling plate at an upper end thereof is mounted on the framework, the lower part of the framework is connected to a base having a plurality of wheels on a lower side thereof, and an elongated guide groove is formed in the middle of the lower side of base, each of the movable assembly bench positioning mechanisms comprises a vertically-disposed cylinder with a pressing plate fixed at an upper end of a piston rod of the cylinder, the diameter of the piston rod of the cylinder is smaller than the width of the guide groove, and the pressing plate is higher than the upper edge of the guide groove and unable to pass through the guide groove top and down. When a movable assembly bench is fixed at a certain station, a piston rod of the cylinder of a respective movable assembly bench positioning mechanism of this station is vertically located within the guide groove on the base of the movable assembly bench, and the pressing plate is pressed against the upper edge of the guide groove on the base of the movable assembly bench under the effect of the piston rod of the cylinder. When the assembly bench is to be moved to a next station, the movement of the movable assembly bench is realized by activating the cylinder to allow the piston rod of the cylinder to move upward and to allow the pressing plate to leave the upper edge of the guide groove. During the whole assembly process of the scooter, just an operation of fixing the scooter frame and an operation of taking the assembled scooter off are required, so that operations of carrying the scooter during the scooter assembly process are significantly reduced. Thus, the scooter assembly line has the advantages that scooter assembly efficiency can be improved, more convenience in scooter assembly can be realized, and labor intensity of assembly workers can be lowered greatly.
