Abstract

A box is disclosed comprising a floor and at least two pairs of opposing side walls. One of the side walls (16b) extends upwards from the floor in a vertical direction (18) by a retrieval height which is lower than the height of one or several of the remaining side walls. The lower wall (16b) defines a lateral opening which enables access to products contained in the box. An insert with a plurality of protrusions (54a, 54b) is arranged on the floor of the box to position items which are received in the box. The protrusions (54a, 54b) are higher in a part (76) towards the lower wall (16b) than in a part (75) extending parallel to the lower side wall (16b). The arrangement allows bottles to tilt towards the lower side wall (16b) for removal but prevents tilting parallel to the lower side wall (16b).
