Abstract

Modem-multibærer transmisjonssystemer, som anvender ortogor.ale borere med høyere ordens QAM-konstellasjoner for overføring av multiple bits per bærer og symbol, stiller store krav til synkroniseringen av mottakeren med senderen. Det maksimale tillatte avvik fra eksakt synkronisering er vanligvis en liten fraksjon av et samplingsintervall. En reservert bærer, pilotbæreren, som er gitt en bestemt fase, anvendes vanligvis som referansen for å oppnå denne høye nøyaktighet. Mottaker-samplingsklokkeoscillatoren er fase- låst til pilotbæreren. Det er derfor nødvendig å estimere fasen av pilotbæreren. Anvendelse av båndpassfilter for å gjenvinne pilotbæreren uavhengig av rammestrukturen av DMT- signalet vil ikke eliminere påvirkningen av nabobærere på pilotbæreren.
