Abstract

En fremgangsmåte for å øke effektiviteten av et mikrobiocid beskrives. I fremgangsmåten påføres et mikrobiocid og N-alkylheterosyklisk forbindelse på et substrat eller et vandig system, som er gjenstand for vekst av mikroorganismer,.Den N-alkylheterosykliske forbindelsen tilføres i en mengde som effektivt øker mikrobiocidaktiviteten i mikrobiocidet. Den N-alkylheterosykliske forbindelseniiar formel (I). Den variable «n» varierer fra 5 til 17, og den heterosykliske ringen,. definert som (a), er en substituert eller ikke-substituert ring som inneholder fire til åtte elementer. Mikrobiocide sammensetninger beskrives, hvor mikrobiocidet og den N-alkylheterosykliske forbindelsen er tilstede i en kombinert mengde som en kontrollerende effekt på veksten til minst én mikroorganisme. Likeledes beskrives fremgangsmåter for vekstkontroll av mikroorganismer på forskjellige substrater og i forskjellige vandige systemer. Kombinasjonenlingen av mikrobiocidet og den N-alkylheterosykliske forbindelsen er spesielt anvendelig som mikrobiocid i skinnindustrien, tømmerindustrien, papirfremstillingsindustrien, tekstilindustrien, landbruksindustrien og belegningsindustrien (coating industry),. samt i prosessvann fra industri.
