Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av polyetercyklopolyoler ved kopoly- merisering og termisk kondensering. Det foretas (a) oppvarming av en reaksjonsblanding omfattende en reaktant valgt blant (l) polyoler som har minst tre hydroksylgrupper hvorav minst to er nabogrupper, (2) for- løpere for polyolen, (3) sykliske derivater av polyolen og (4) blan- dinger derav, hvilken oppvarmning initierer den termiske kondensasjon. polyetersyklopolyoler (b) fjerning av vann som er blitt dannet under den termiske kondensa- sjon, (c) videreføring av den ter- miske kondensasjon inntil et for- håndsbestemt antall mol vann pr. mol reaktant er blitt fjernet, slik at kondensasjonen går til fullførelse uten at det finner sted noen vesent- lig uønsket degenerering, og (d), før kondensasjonen går til fullførelse, blanding av en epoksyharpiks med reaksj onsblandingen. Polyetercyklopolyol som er oppnådd fra en reaktantblanding omfattende fra 99,5 til 90 vekt* av en reaktant valgt blant (1) en polyol som har minst tre hydroksyl grupper hvorav minst to er nabogrupper, (2) forlopere for polyolen, (3) sykliske derivater av polyolen og (4) blandinger derav og fra 0,5 til 10 vekt% av en epoksyharpiks som har en vektsmidlere molekyl- vekt pi fra 50.000 til 300.000. Anvendelse av polyetercyklopolyol som et borefluid.
