Abstract

Et filterapparat for filtrering av et tidsdomenes inngangssignal for å oppnå et tidsdomenes utgangssignal som er en fremstilling av et tidsdomenes inngangssignal filtrert ved å bruke en filterkarakteristikk med en uensartet amplitude/frekvenskarakteristikk, omfatter en kompleks analysefilterbank for å generere flere komplekse delbåndsignaler for tidsdomenets inngangssignaler, flere mellomfiltre, der minst ett av mellomfiltrene av de flere mellomfiltre har en uensartet amplitude/frekvenskarakteristikk, der de flere mellomfiltre har en kortere pulsrespons sammenlignet med en pulsrespons av et filter med filteregenskapen og der uensartede amplitude/frekvensegenskap av de flere mellomfiltre sammen representerer den uensartede filterkarakteristikk og en kompleks syntesefilterbank for å syntetisere signalet fra mellomfiltrene for å oppnå tidsdomenets utgangssignal.
