Abstract
Et undersjøisk ressursutforskningssystem som omfatter en vibrator (1) for å overføre en lydbølge inn i sjøbunnen og motta en spredt bølge produsert av lydbølgen reflektert fra grensesnittet mellom sjøvann og en blanding av metangass og metanhydrat som fins i sjøvann og en analysedel (17) å bedømme at det fins metanhydrat på sjøbunnen direkte under blandingen når et bestemt forhold fins mellom den overførte lydbølge og den spredte intensitet beregnet av den mottatte spredte bølge. Det bestemte forhold er at den maksimale spredte intensitet er -60 til -30 dB og den gjennomsnittlige spredningsintensitet er -70 til -50 dB i et gitter oppnådd ved å snitte blandingen av dybderetningen med en bestemt bredde innenfor et område som strekker seg i en bestemt høyde fra sjøbunnen.
