Abstract

Et vinsjarrangement er installert under akterdelseksjonen av skroget for å lette vedlikehold av vannstrålingsmaskineriet. En forstørret fender strekker seg nesten fullstendig omkring skroget, idet det forstørrede fenderarrangementet gir ekstra oppdrift hvis skroget skulle bli neddykket. lnnebygde heisbeslag og surringsbeslag i flukt for transport på tilhenger er anordnet for å hindre skade på fendersystemet.The rescue skate has a hull with an upper deck area which includes bow and stern areas, port and starboard sides, a helm mounted on the hull and which extends over the upper deck mid-ship. The helm has a tire, a front, a back, side parts and a helm length measured from front to back. A couple of rescue wells or recesses in the hull under the deck and inside the hull on port and starboard sides, where each rescue well has a length. A majority of the length of each rescue well is in front of the back of the helm. A propulsion system is provided to drive the hull. The propulsion system preferably uses jet pumps which are positioned in full over the keel of the hull. Rear buoyancy chambers are provided which provide extra buoyancy and provide planning lift during acceleration to keep the stern down. These rear buoyancy chambers also provide distance protection for the propulsion units as the vessel backs. Dual control stations are provided in the helm for optimized operator field of view during rescue operations. A control station is therefore provided at each rescue well. A winch arrangement is installed under the aft section of the hull to facilitate maintenance of the water radiation machinery. An enlarged fender extends almost completely around the hull, with the enlarged fender arrangement providing additional buoyancy if the hull were to be submerged. Built-in elevator fittings and lashing brackets in flight for trailer transport are provided to prevent damage to the fender system.
