Description

Anordning ved spuns for metallfat. Device for sheet piles for metal barrels.

The present invention relates to a device for sheet piles for metal barrels and in particular for aluminum metal barrels.

In some known embodiments of sheet piles for metal barrels, a sheet pile ring is welded to the outside of the barrel around an opening in the cylindrical part of the barrel wall, and the sheet pile ring is threaded up inside after welding. In these known embodiments, the welding of the sheet pile ring to the edge of the opening in the barrel is done from the inside of the sheet pile hole, and the result is that during threading, the weld seam that connects the edge of the barrel opening with the sheet pile ring is cut, which significantly weakens the resistance of this weld. However, solutions have also been proposed in which a separate part with a pre-threaded sheet pile hole is welded into an opening in the vessel's wall. Such an embodiment is described in French patent no. 1 003 750, but as the barrels in particular in this case are provided with roller belts that are pressed into the wall of the barrel, the aforementioned sheeting part must also form part of the roller belts and thus bear fairly significant loads which are then transferred to the aforementioned weld. The weld must therefore not only be liquid-tight, but also withstand very significant loads, and an essential purpose of the present invention is to come up with a device for sheet piles for metal barrels of the kind in question here, where the barrel as a whole has a significant bulk -re strength and where the sheet pile ring can be threaded in advance.

The invention thus relates to a device for sheet piles for metal barrels, where a sheet pile ring is fixed by welding in an opening in a mainly cylindrical central part of the wall of the barrel, and where a reinforcement plate is arranged between the outer upper edge of the sheet pile ring and the metal barrel, and it is essentially characterized in that the sheet pile ring is provided with a relatively narrow flange which is welded firmly edge to edge in a corresponding opening in a flattened part of the barrel's cylindrical middle part, and that the reinforcing plate, which is provided with an opening into which the sheet pile ring is inserted, is welded to the ring's upper outer circumferential edge as well as to the outside of the barrel, along the edges of the reinforcement plate, so that the length of the continuous liquid-tight welding seam is only the circumference of the relatively narrow flange and so that all welding can be done from the outside of the barrel.

An example of an embodiment according to the invention will be described in more detail in the following with reference to the drawing, where: Fig. 1 is a schematic view of a metal tray which is provided with a sheeting made according to the invention,

fig. 2, i større målestokk, viser et snitt fig. 2, on a larger scale, shows a section

etter linjen II—II på fig. 1 mens along the line II—II in fig. 1 period

fig. 1. fig. 3 and 4 similarly show sections along the lines III—III resp. IV—IV in fig. 1.

The sponge according to the invention is formed by a ring 5, e.g. of an aluminum alloy, whose conical inner side 6 is preferably threaded in advance. This ring 5 is provided with a collar 7 which is designed to be welded, edge to edge, in a corresponding opening 8 arranged in the metal wall 9 of the barrel, namely a flattened part 10 on the otherwise circular middle part of the barrel. The dish can e.g. consist of two halves, of an aluminum alloy, and the halves can be joined by means of a weld 11 that goes around the barrel.

In order to effectively protect the ring 5 against shocks from the outside, it is reinforced by means of a plate 12 also of an aluminum alloy, which has an opening 13 into which the ring 5 is inserted and welded as shown at 14. The sides 15 and 16 of the plate 12 are extended at both of their two ends and are shaped so that they form vaulted portions which are extensions of the barrel's roller belt 17 above the flattened portion 10 thereof. The plate 12 is welded along its edges at 18 to the outer side of the vessel's wall.

In the flattened part 10 of the barrel wall, the hollow interior of the roller belts 17 ends at a gently sloping plane 19 which is formed on the barrel wall and which enables all liquid to flow out through the spigot hole when the barrel is emptied.

All the welds in the sheet pile are applied from the outside and the automatic welding of the collar 7 of the ring 5 in the opening 8 in the barrel wall takes place with the ring 5 supported in such a way that you get a smooth inside without projections, which facilitates emptying the barrel.
