Description
VulstukSpacer
The present invention relates to a spacer to be arranged between two conveying devices, at least one of which comprises a grooved conveying surface, the spacing being provided with a toothing corresponding to the grooved conveying surface.
Such a shim is known from French patent publication 2.395-176. Adjoining conveying devices are mainly used when changing direction and speed. Particularly with so-called "walking sidewalks", the speed of the transport device which accounts for the greatest length of the transport is increasingly being increased such that it is not possible to take a seat on this transport device from a standstill. For this purpose, accelerating resp. retarding further conveying devices arranged. The transition between the adjacent transport devices is a problem. It is of the utmost importance here that it is ensured that no objects can be trapped between the filling piece and the respective belt. Stiletto heels are a particular problem. In French Pat. No. 2,395,176, both sides of the shim are adjacent to a grooved conveyor with corresponding teeth. Because belts and the like always pivot, lateral pressure is exerted on the teeth arranged in the shim. As a result, premature wear of both the teeth of the belt and the teeth of the shim will occur.
The object of the present invention is to avoid this drawback and this object is achieved with a filling piece described above in that the side of the filling piece provided with the toothing is arranged at the downstream transport device and that the side of the filling piece lying close to the syrup up transport device is carried out. It has been found that the separation between the downstream band and the shim is the most critical because the downstream band tends to draw in objects between it and the shim. The upstream belt tends to move such objects out of the gap defined between it and the shim. By now providing the filler piece with a toothing only on the side adjacent to the downstream conveying device, it is guaranteed there that objects cannot get between the grooved conveying device and the filling piece. On the other side, the filler piece is smooth, so that the filler piece can follow the lateral movement of the grooved conveyor without causing side pressure. As a result, the wear between the combing part of the filling piece and the grooved band is considerably limited, so that openings do not yet arise between them during use. It is also now possible in a simple manner to change the pitch of adjacent grooves. This can be important when changing from a grooved belt to a roller conveyor, where the pitch of the roller conveyor is chosen smaller. According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the grooved transport surface comprises a belt. Very considerable lateral displacements take place thereby, and therefore the filling piece in such an embodiment is arranged to be reciprocally displaceable in the direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of the belt.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, this reciprocating movement can be achieved by providing the filler piece with an extension in which ball bushings are provided which enable the transverse movement.
The filler piece can consist of one piece, but can also consist of a carrier on which the filler piece is arranged. In a preferred embodiment, the lateral guiding of the shim, i.e. the manner in which the shim follows the toothing in the grooved conveyor, is realized by lateral guiding means, such as wheels.
If the conveyor is also provided with a grooved surface on the smooth side of the filling piece, it may be desirable, especially for psychological reasons, to close off the openings which have arisen as a result. This is achieved according to the invention with filling means. These fillers are not rigidly connected to the filler piece and allow mutual movement of the fillers and filler piece. These fillers preferably contain tendons. These flexible tendons are preferably attached to the support of the shim.
The shim described above can preferably be used in conveying devices with on the one hand a belt and on the other hand a combing roller assembly. This combing roller assembly serves to accelerate resp. while the tire serves to bridge the distance.
Daarbij tonen:The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to illustrative embodiments shown in the drawing. Show:

1.Fig. 4 two further embodiments of the device according to FIG. 1.
2 blijkt, in elkaar kammen. In fig. A grooved conveyor belt is indicated by 2 in Fig. 1. Such a conveyor belt is used in particular for transporting persons and can have a length of more than 100 meters. In order to make the transport thereof as efficient and attractive as possible, it is desirable that this belt moves at a relatively high speed. Efforts are currently being made to achieve speeds of 18 km / h for passenger conveyor belts. Since such a speed cannot be bridged from a standstill by most persons, before and after such a belt an accelerating resp. retarding part present. In the embodiment according to Figs. 1 and 2, the retarding part is drawn. This retarding part consists of a roller assembly 4 of the rollers, which, as can be seen from Fig. 2, comb together. In Fig. 1 only the first roller 4 is shown in dotted lines. The successive rollers are driven in an undefined manner such that they move at an increasingly slower speed. Since belt 2 is relatively stiff, it is not possible to give it a smaller curvature without adverse effects on the life. This is shown in fig. 2. This means that a relatively large gap is created between the first roller of the roller assembly 4 and the belt. 2. In order to avoid problems, a spacer is fitted, which is indicated in its entirety by 3. In the embodiment shown here, this consists of a solid part, for instance of plastic material, which is attached to a support 6, which is mounted laterally movable via ball bushings 7 in fixed frame 8. As appears, tendons 9 or * tendon bundles are also present, which necessary, because shim 3 in fig. 2 is smooth on the right side. As a result, spacer 3 can follow sideways displacements of belt 2 without hindrance. This tracking is further promoted by the presence of a running wheel 5 * which is rotatably attached to support 6. The tendons 9 are relatively flexible parts, which can easily adapt to the prevailing conditions in the field.
In fig. Fig. 3 shows two further embodiments of the device according to the invention. The accelerating rollers 14 are shown in the left part of Fig. 3. Since the danger of jamming between shim 13 and rollers 14 is greater than the danger of jamming between belt 12 and shim 13, the toothing of shim 13 is directed toward the last of the rollers 14. Since the rollers do not perform lateral movement, it is no longer necessary to use the ball bushings, as shown in Figures 1 and 2. The tendons 19 are present here between the shim 13 and the band.
In fig. Fig. 3 shows the retarding part on the right. This essentially corresponds to what is shown in Figures 1 and 2.
In fig. In Fig. 4 a further embodiment is shown, in which the filling piece 33 of the accelerating part is not provided with tendons. The retardant shim 43 consists of a carrier 45 connected to the ball bushings 47.
While the embodiments described above are preferred embodiments, it is to be understood that numerous modifications can be made thereto without departing from the scope of the present invention.
For example, it is possible to implement the lateral guidance by means of plain bearings. The tendons can comprise a single part or a bundle of tendons, the free end of which is brush-like.
