Abstract

The floor slab with ribs is prestressed in the lengthwise direction at right angles to the ribs. The prestressing devices (8) can be accommodated in lengthwise end ribs (7) of the slab (1), and insulating material can be accommodated in the spaces between the end ribs and the transverse ones (4), secured direct to the concrete without the use of an adhesive. The design allows prefabrication, no subsequent operations being necessary after installation, in addition to which it is easily insulated.
